Maybe he will sit down with LJ and convince him to stay?

Thread unlocked for discussion about the press conference.
Please post links to any addition TV interviews with Coach Ewing that appear in this thread as well.

I though he did a good job. I'm excited. He's going to put foot in Govan's a.. He will be a different player next time we see him.
They said something about TV interviews. What channel?

Maybe he will sit down with LJ and convince him to stay? Reports were he was signing with an agent. Why he wouldn't have waited is beyond me, but that horse may be out the barn door...

Maybe he will sit down with LJ and convince him to stay? Praying that he convinces him to stay. A year in a more up tempo offense that suits his style of play could propel him into the first round next year.

He mentioned a few players potentially could leave the program. Will have individual talks tomorrow. First order of business is to get everyone on the same page.
May totally be rebuilding from the ground up, but I'm sure that foundation will be STRONG.

That was a clear success. I bet even DFW's cold heart melted just a little watching it.

Wow! No worries about transparency. Patrick was very open and honest. Key points:
The program fell below standards and used the term "rebuild" many times.
Made nice comments about JT3 personally but did not sugar coat the situation.
The team "underachieved" and had more talent than the record showed. He also acknowledged that some are thinking of leaving, that he will meet with the team individually tomorrow, and that they will have to buy in. The summer will also be crucial for focus on academics and the weight room.
Acknowledged the learning curve, especially in recruiting, and will rely heavily on staff to educate him.
Best of all, will install an NBA style. Interestingly, he focused on offense -- pushing the ball, playing faster, and threes, but stated that he needs players that have the talent to do this.
Very impressed.

Even if you don't agree with the hire, if you didn't smile watching him hold up the flag you might not really be a Hoyas fan.

He talked about "their vision" and "my vision". If the two don't jive guess whose vision wins.

Even if you don't agree with the hire, if you didn't smile watching him hold up the flag you might not really be a Hoyas fan. My brain keeps telling me that this is a mistake, but my heart just friggin' loves the guy. Hopeful that talented coaches and players will feel the same way.
