Villanova screwed all of us by humiliating the league for the second-straight year--it will take years now for the conference to get out of this respect whole. But help is coming. The Hoyas will be very interesting next year. Marquette has an absolutely loaded recruiting class coming in--as much as I hate to admit it they need to be taking it to people. In the meantime, we are all Xavier Musketeers now. One of Marquettes star recruits broke his hand last night in a state semifinal playoff game.

Offseason To-Do List: Copeland: Gain weight and more muscle Peak: work on 3pt shooting Hayes: Offensive game as a whole White: As he progresses he will need to gain more confidence DSR: Continue to be a leader By the way, if anybody wants a sneak peek at Jessie Govan, he will be playing in the NHSI on ESPNU against Oak Hill (the #1 team in the country.) I could also see Marcus Derrickson form into a JayVaughn Pinkston with a much better outside shot.

Well, on to next year. I will miss all the seniors. I think Josh had run his course and not sure basketball should be in his future, but the other guys, I really wish we had for another year. But I do wish them all nothing but the best. They gave us a great season, full of ups and downs, but in the end exciting and overall really good. They left it out on the court and this year ended like you wish every year ends against a good team where, if you have to lose, you lose to a better team. I look at the future and I think it will be bright. LJ gave us his second best game of the season and showed why III has remained steadfast in keeping him in the starting lineup. His defense came along all season, and if he works on that shot over the summer and gets the 3pt % up to the mid 30s, I think we can expect many more games like this one. Copeland is a unique talent and just needs time, he will be special. Paul White is a do it all kind of player and will continue to develop in all areas, he has the skillset and I am confident he will get there and be incrementally better next season. Tre will get his chance next season, and I am excited to see how we harness his speed and swagger, he will be awesome. We have some solid frosh coming in again and a quality transfer; they should all add something valuable to the team. And finally, we all hope to have DSR coming back for that rare and special senior season that so few players get a chance to enjoy. DSR should be preseason POY for a second straight year, but I have a feeling, with Tre helping in the backcourt, DSR will maintain the POY status all season. It will be special, and I know I cannot wait to watch a crowning senior season to a very special player during the JT3 era. I am hoping DSR does the same work this offseason and comes back even better next season. He has a rare opportunity to be the face of the conference and be in the Naissmith POY discussion all season, I hope he makes the most of it. Great season Hoyas! As a fan and alum, I thank you for representing the university perfectly and playing your asses off all season! If Kris Dunn is back, he should be preseason POY in the conference, but yeah to everything else. Sorry to nitpick. Dunn is just really good. That is assuming he doesn't bolt for the NBA. Dunn needs a year of polishing his game before he enters the draft. Too many turnovers

Utah is very strong on the defensive side of the ball, and their big man Poertl played well today. He isn't a great foul shooter, but he knocked them down today.

Win and move on. Nobody whined when the Hoyas beat SMU 37-36 on the way to the National Championship in 1984. Big East 4-0. Time to Twitter bomb that assclown Gottlieb. There was no message board in 1984!!! I am happy with the win. I have already let Gottlieb hear it!
