[sighs] Look at my life now... Hatred's become a job. I had true hatred with Rautins, I didn't have to fake it! That sweet loathing just poured out of me whenever I saw his pathetic face! I just... I just... I just wanted to kick his ass! I wanted to build a machine to kick his ass! I wanted to build an empire to house the machine TO KICK HIS ASS!!!

Can we get that White House doctor who diagnosed Chris Christie as fat to weigh in? She seems pretty good at making diagnoses over the TV. Paging Senator Frist...

Speaking of the ACC, Harvard of PG County just lost to [previously] 11-14 (3-9) Boston College... BUBBLE!

So we're pulling for Seton Hall here for BET seeding... Are we? Hall can't catch us; Quette is tied with us. Rather than rely on tie-breaker math, I'd prefer the Warriors drop one and we get some daylight.

A Pitt player jabbed an opponent in the eye? Never would I have expected such a thing!

Watching Louisville take it to USF. Still can't believe we lost to the Bulls. Ugh. I really don't want to be their only conference win... That loss just becomes more and more baffling, despite(or maybe due to) the excitement of the ensuing month-long winning streak.

That win will probably get Maryland in the tourney. That's bad enough. Duke fans are killing Plumlee tonight. Claim he hasn't been any good since November. . Maryland will still find a way to miss the tourney with inexplicable losses down the stretch. It's just what they do. Maryland is currently 6-6 in the ACC with 6 remaining: @bc (3-9; 11-14) Clemson (5-7; 13-11) @gt (4-8; 14-10) @wf (4-9; 11-14) UNC (7-5; 17-8) @uva (8-4; 18-7) While I'd never put it past the Derps to do what needs to get done and blow it at the end, the next four games are all winnable for them. Should make March 17 interesting (and the ensuing March 18 news cycle hilarious). Can be fun how one game changes the bracket math for a team.

A few of the friends I was watching with took exception to some of Mr. Knight's calls during the game. I personally didn't have any real problems, but I did also notice a few factual errors of varying levels of importance. Typically I like hearing his broadcasts (most of them non-Georgetown), and find his nuts-and-bolts knowledge of things to be informative normally. I objected to his reaction to Mikael's "foul" when blocking that shot from the three-point line. I think the Cincy player flopped and though Knight was out of line. I do remember that particular call and remember being irked by the play (I would even go so far as to say Parker not only flopped, but actually pulled Mikael down on him. What's with that guy?). Knight was incorrect on that one and I agree with you, but as others have said, I find his analysis of the game to be helpful and interesting more often than not.

Would anyone really rather watch a team that runs down to rush bad shots and allows opponents to run on them? I dunno, Villanova seems to have plenty of fans.

I get the feeling that Michael Carter-Williams also shoplifted his goatee from someone else, namely someone who actually has a chin.

On to rooting for Cuse to lose. I would have been watching that instead of Dook/Murhlin, but I had the (extended) end of the Liberty/High Point game instead. Anyway, go Pirates!

Why are the announcers pretending to be surprised that Plumlee was outplayed by Alex Len? Len is an NBA caliber big; Plumlee is not.

Dios mio. Is Duke actually going to be Maryland's only win over a good team (unpredictable NC State notwithstanding). Will the Maryland students rush the court again? Will the Maryland students burn down the... town(?) what would you call College Park? I guess what you'd call that assemblage of buildings is much more a matter of debate than whether or not this group of future gas station attendants and cocktail waitresses riots.
[Edit: That Dez Wells offensive foul was just called. Hoo boy...]

As for the game, I thought the team got key plays when they needed them. There were mistakes, there were disappointments, there were poorly timed foul calls (not going to comment on refs). End result: seventh straight win, and it came away @ a top-30(ish) conference opponent. It wasn't always pretty, but I'm pumped heading into this next week.

Jerian Grant ignoring his teammates open under the basket, choosing not to dribble/penetrate, then begging for a foul on a fade away, buzzer-beater jumper. That needs to be included in a Notre Dame highlight reel.
