If (when) we are unbeaten Dec 23rd, we may not even move in the ESPN poll, provided Texas beats Michigan State. Would we leap Kansas before they lose, with their two wins over USC and Arizona?

Lotsa hustle putbacks, wierd bounces, and spin moves...Lee had a good game, we could have blocked out better...as Coach said after the game, we tried to make Lee get the ball in spots other than right underneath the basket, as he had in the first half... Some early turnovers or quick decisions in the first 10 min kept it close...good call getting Freeman in early Thought the team did a good job of settling and focusing on Roy, and Roy looking for a good shot and not taking it just because he ahd the ball in his hands, which opened up some good passes, and good positions for Roy to score. He still needs to sometimes finish better (blocked shots as he tried to put it in vs dunking it at clase ranging) but he was a bit more assertive as the game settled in. Austin played really well, Sapp I thought had some great assists, just needs to cut down on sometimes the 1 vs 4 penetration which turns into turnovers. Also, I think Bilas pointed out that we don't practice fast breaks often - recalled that as Wright(?) missed a breakaway layup Summers was not as into the offense, but did rebound well and play defense, not too worried...he will be fine. Macklin the benficary of multiple good feeds for dunks, didn't pull off any surprising offense moves we haven't seen before, but played within himself.

seattlepi.nwsource.com/basketball/334065_sonx03.htmlGreen said he was more comfortable and more rewarded playing in a system that spread the ball and helped resurrect a program that had become stagnant after the departure of John Thompson Jr.
"I feel like I can play all positions because that's what I had to do to get better and to get Georgetown's program to (the next level)," Green said. "We had to be a 'player.' And that's what I call myself, a 'player.' I can do a lot of things. I would rather be in a situation where the coach can put (me) anywhere."

Our opponents' point guards are dropping like flies...glad to see we have at least some depth (and good character) at the position on our side.

Regarding potential NCAA violations...
students last year held signs during MM and greeted Omar encouraging him to attend Gtown. Was this publicity, or this again a gray area?

Watched the first three games of the afternoon, have to admit the turnovers/fouls did make the games at time unwatchable. Wallace did look good when directing the team, htting the three, throwing passes to the interior...but yes, he did not have much help and turned it over when he decided to drive into the bodies by the basket. Crawford had a decent all around game, nailing the three and some outside jumpers and some quick moves towards the hole..didn't have to force much.
Found myself sitting next to Freeman and Wrights' mothers...both said they were excited to see the two playing together in DC... Austin's mom said she hopes to make it to most games...when asked about Austin's teammate Isiah Tate's being recruited to George Mason, she said he decided to go there because of the Final Four run two years ago...clearly our ability to go deep is paying dividends too. Wright's mom - very friendly and outgoing, much like her son, from what I can tell.

From ESPN:
LAS VEGAS -- The RBK Create or Finish Cup portion of the Reebok Summer Championships came to a conclusion Tuesday. The day offered some very intriguing team and individual matchups, providing the elite players with chances to prove their mettle and enhance their status in the player rankings.
DC Triple Threat, led by Georgetown commits 6-4 combo-guard Jason Clark (Arlington, Va.) and 6-8 PF/C Chris Braswell (Hyattsville, Md.), defeated the Illinois Wolves in a competitive, defensive battle for the championship.
Clark delivered an MVP-caliber performance in leading his team to the title, placing his imprint on the game through his all-around play. Clark excelled in all facets of the game; scoring when needed, playing tough defense, setting up teammates and rebounding the basketball.
Braswell did not score much in the championship game, but he made his presence felt on the interior by controlling the boards on both ends and shutting down the lane on defense with block shots. The Georgetown-bound duo of Clark and Braswell did a great job of setting the tone for their team.

I think its interesting to note that Brandon Bowman led all players in bench reps last year, and Jeff Green led all at his position this year. Kudos to the strength and conditioning coach...
