For those in the Philadelphia area, I noticed that the game will be on TV on WPHL and WPHLD at noon.
Go Hoyas

Watching the game, I was amazed at all of the bad shots both teams took. Say what you will about the Hoya system, we very rarely take bad shots.

Great thread. It will be hard to get info on Jeff in Philadelphia papers. I am now a Sonics fan. The last time I rooted for a team other than my Sixers was the Charlotte Hornets with Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson.

He would make a great assistant coach while he was in law school. Does this sound familiar?

Read in your blog that you wanted to OD on BBQ. I lived there for 3 years and made it a point to try every BBQ in the area. Dream Land is OK - gets a lot of publicity but the best in Birmingham is Golden Rule. Costa's is second best. Johnny Ray's third and Dimitri's in Homewood is also good. Enjoy! Go Hoyas!

I thought Jeff looked great. He did seem frustrated with his team's shot selection. There were times he called for the ball and did not get it to him. I know this is the NBA but the Sonics do not play well together. It looks like everyone wants to be a star. Jeff did look tentative at times on defense. They actually had him on Kid at times and Jeff was a step behind. It is great that he is on a team with Durant so we get to see him on TV a lot, but I wish he was on an eastern team so I don't have to stay up so late.

Thanks for the info ID, I always like hearing about potential recruits, especially with a Hoya connection. How old are AI's kids?

I have become somewhat of an USC fan thanks to the tickets for last years regional USC supplied me with. I now get all of their news letters and promotions for football tickets and all of their other sports.
The first game of the 1980 regional against Maryland was fantastic. Up to that point, Maryland was getting all the press in the DC area. In my mind that game was the biggest win up to that point in Georgetown history and the win that put us on the map. I think I am still hung-over from the post game party.

I'm an old guy who has been making pre-season picks for the past 30 years. When the hoyas are good, I look like a genius. When they are not so good, I look like an idiot. In a preseason pool last year, I was almost perfect. I missed on ODU and had the Nova games reversed. I had us winning the BEC and the BEC Tournament. I had us making it to the final four and loseing in the semi.
That being said, there is no way I can do this again but here goes... November
10 William & Mary - W 15 Michigan - L 21 @ Ball State - W 28 @ Old Dominion - W
December
1 Fairfield - W 5 vs. Alabama - W 9 Jacksonville - W 15 Radford - W 22 @ Memphis -L 29 American - W 31 Fordham - W
January
5 @ Rutgers - W 8 @ Depaul - L 12 Connecticut - W 14 @ Pittsburgh - W 19 Notre Dame - W 21 Syracuse - W 26 @ West Virginia - W 31 @ St. John's - W
February
2 Seton Hall - W 5 South Florida - W 9 @ Louisville - L 11 Villanova - L 16 @ Syracuse - W 18 @ Providence - W 23 Cincinnati - W 27 St. John's - W
March
1 @ Marquette - W 8 Louisville - W
24 and 5

Philly 76er people went down to Georgetown to workout Jeff today. Larry Brown and Billy KIng were there to work him out. Philly Fox news said that Jeff is still undicided but if he decides to stay in, has a heck of a NBA future. King's comments were that he was very skilled in everythink he did but what was really impressive was what type of kid he is -- very impresive.
