Good game for the Hoyas. They kept it close against a better SEC Team. You mean a team that lost to 24 to GW, 19 to Furman, and 32 to Colorado St?

This is actually exactly what I fear from Ewing, and the administration. I think they've lost total touch with reality in CBB (well, Ewing never had it) and now think if they beat Siena they're 'back to .500' I think in his NBA brain he thinks the BET is a free ticket into the post-season. He doesn't get how any of this works. This is an awful, awful South Carolina team.

Fire him before the Siena game. This is absolute madness. He played 6 guys the entire second half. We were getting so much more at the 5 out of Brad E. Goes small with Akok at the 5 and doesn't give Brad a single second half minute. Just mind-boggling to me that this pattern has played out game after game, and he can't get out of his own way.

Ok just making sure we are on the same page in defining “a good SEC team”. The Hoyas lost to a team that was better than them who happens to be in the SEC, NOT one of the better SEC teams. But the Hoyas did well to keep it close against a team who was better than them who is also from a big conference. Just to clear that up.

Let’s not torture ourselves into thinking Ewing will be fired anytime soon.

Why are we always running into our own players on offense. Apparently MOVE doesn’t have to be in any particular direction. A large part of it is guys just haven't played with each other a lot. It is happening less than it was. It takes about 8 to 12 games for teams to start gelling and knowing where teammates are and what their tendencies are. That is with 2 or 3 new starters, all 5 is a bit tougher. Why weren’t the Texas Tech guys crashing into each other?

Good showing by students and pep band. That's the best I can say about this game.

It’s about the complete lack of cohesion, communication and competence that is exhibited on the court. What you see out there is what you would get if anyone here on hoyatalk were coaching that team. We should not be paying someone this much money to roll that garbage game plan onto the court. It’s dad-coach level of direction. It’s embarrassing.

That was two bad teams flailing against each other. And of course we found a way to be worse.
Even if we had 5 NBA players we’d find to a way to be worse together than the sum of the parts. The whole thing is just rotten and needs to be swept clean. PE is trying but he doesn’t have it. We are in purgatory.

Maybe the Hoyas best game of the year. It appears we may actually have middle of the pack Big East Talent ( in a down year). Whether that translates to as many as 3 Big East wins is far from certain. Amazing that I feel somewhat good about an overtime loss at home to an SEC bottom feeder. Thank you Patrick and the powers that be at Gtown!

This is just flat out wrong. We led for the majority of the game. In game management is where this game was lost. We should've won this game going away.

We’ll agree to disagree on how good they are. In my book it’s an awful loss when you led all game. And I can’t restate it enough - they are coming of a 24 point loss to GW.

I thought this would be the year to get Revenge against DePaul. Now I am wondering if we will go 0-2 against DePaul again this year?

Not making BE out to be a savior but it's clear Wahab isn't the answer, PE refuses to change even when BE outplays him.. That's not trying in my book, that's being stubborn

I sincerely believe a top coach would have won us this game by 10+ in regulation. We have the horses this year and have had more talent than almost all of our opponents thus far.
