Have we had any? Did anyone hear anything about the team's play?

So do you know Boya? Even if we lost it's OK depending on how we looked. I believe we looked really bad in both scrimmages last year.

To be fair, it was reported Temple was without it’s best player yesterday…

Nice to see Spears with a big game. If he gets the vast majority of point guard minutes, we will have seriously upgraded both the PG and C positions from last year. Speaklng of which, does anybody know why Wahab diidn't play?

It doesn't really matter who won if it was competitive and Temple doesn't have 1 single player that affects the competitiveness level🤷🏾♂️

People were also quick to mention no Wahab and Heath...which I think is fair...so I think it's also fair to mention Temple was probably without some of their important pieces. That being said I agree with your sentiment. This program has almost gone a full calendar year without a win...any positive news...even if it's during a "means nothing" scrimmage I will certainly take. More importantly it can only help these kids gain some confidence leading into the season.

And, in any game, any team missing its best player will impact their competitiveness.

I didn't mention either because I know there is one fringe NBA level player between both teams and he wasn't on Temple. Losing Heath, Wahab, Riley Mozone, Bristol, Akok, Spears or Dante singularly isn't affecting our overall competitiveness.

By all accounts, there were plenty of positives to take away from the Temple scrimmage. Compare that to last year's Temple scrimmage where the reports were more of the red flag nature.
No doubt, we are all starved for information and grasping at anything that comes by--but that being said, I'll take it. One big difference between last year and this one--experience. So much more on this roster, and I expect that difference to show right away. Also Murray. He is going to be fun.

Carey down to make the point(wrong one btw) that I'm trying to suck optimism away?

"The other rumor is that prodigal son Qudus Wahab only played sparingly due to recovery from an illness. Maybe this came from his trip to NYC or is something that is going around on campus... With Mutombo only playing 3 minutes, that likely means Akok Akok played center for extended time. Moreover, some whispers of potential inconsistency issues in the backcourt could be troubling, but are pretty much expected with new guys out there and Dante Harris not playing... Temple’s Zach Hicks scoring 19 points is probably a concern. The Owls’ 6’7” forward out of Camden, NJ is—you guessed it—a bit of a three-point shooter" www.casualhoya.com/2022/10/24/23420551/murray-up-links-and-rumors-from-georgetown-hoyas-temple-scrimmage-wahab-akok-primo-mutombo-ewing

A bit disappointed to hear that Ryan only played about 3 minutes but maybe with Wahab ill, Patrick decided to see how small ball would work out. Glad Akok stepped up.
Keep in mind with all scrimmages, take them with a grain of salt.

Keep in mind with all scrimmages, take them with a grain of salt. Same but in a way it makes some sense because the staff knows what they have with Ryan and Akok is still a question mark in many ways so figuring out what he his best role is and easing him into it is vital. Hopefully Ryan does see the floor a good bit this year when Q is not in and if Akok sticks to the 4
