Absurdly big for Pat. Prob best 2-guard prospect in nation. Land Huntley Hatfield and keep Dante and Aminu, and GU would have a full deck next season. I don't think Pat is the answer, but Murray is the most talented GU player since Monroe. Yes, sorry Otto.

If the Twerps fans are grouchy, it’s gotta be a good day for the Hoyas. If this team can’t get its defensive act together with Murray on the roster, it never will. Great pickup!!

A great one. And sorry if it hurts your feelings, but way more polished than Aminu or Otto.

You do realize this team didn’t win a single bloody game last yr right? And you are giving me crap for piling on expectations? Now that’s rich!

We finally got BM, next up is BHH. Let’s go Hoyas! That is 💯 the right next pickup. Huntley Hatfield is a player. He looked really good in limited minutes for UT last year. Has a great 12-foot game and a very nice rim-runner game. He’s the other huge piece out there IMO.

He’s not even the most talented Hoya of Aminu returns. And he doesn’t sniff Otto’s talent. He’s a nice player. Conference player of the year he is not. You are setting this kid up to fail.

But I think you’re forgetting just how good Otto was Otto won some national player of the years awards as a sophomore. He was a great player that season, on both ends of the court. He ran the defense, making sure everyone knew what to do, constantly talking and positioning teammates, in addition to his own strong individual D. He became a deadly pull up jump shooter as a sophomore, and was perfect for the Princeton cut elements of our offense. Note that our defense collapsed (and has never recovered) the minute Otto left the program. I hope Murray is fantastic - but he is going to need to be "third pick in the NBA draft" good to approach what Otto accomplished as a sophomore.

Otto was in contention national player of the year. Gotta admit that JT3 had his share of great players during his time now looking back. Brandon Murray hopefully can bring more talent with him.

Yeah today is a good day....I think BM has potential to be better on O than Otto but Otto was great at just about everything as a soph. Otto didn't have the best handle but from what I've seen neither does BM....

Definitely need a true, Big East level point guard to take over the majority of that role from Dante imo and you have to remember we still have an incompetent head coach in terms of in-game coaching. To be a top 5 Big East team next year, I believe we need BHH, a starting caliber point guard, Aminu back, possibly another big (Manny Bates?), and definitely an assistant coach that can pick up some of the Xs and Os and substitution patterns from Ewing who at this point seems to be more of a motivator/recruiter than head basketball coach. Good start though with Murray who instantly becomes the only guy currently on the roster for next season who would start for the majority of the league's teams.

How many years did Monroe stay; can’t remember, but if we had had Porter for one more year! Deadly shooter, especially from mid-range. I would have to it’s a tie! Monroe: Two seasons (2008-10) Porter: Two seasons (2011-13) --Admin
