Between the Orioles winning their home opener and this, it was a very good sports day for me.
Welcome aboard Mr. Murray.
Let’s go Brandon!

So Efton Reid from Richmond was roommates at IMG with Brandon Murray. Both recruited by Nickelback I think and both went to LSU. Perhaps we still have an outside shot at Efton

Absurdly big for Pat. Prob best 2-guard prospect in nation. Land Huntley Hatfield and keep Dante and Aminu, and GU would have a full deck next season. I don't think Pat is the answer, but Murray is the most talented GU player since Monroe. Yes, sorry Otto. Since Otto was a 2&done, do you see him staying one year at GU?

Outrageous to say Murray is more talented than Otto who was in the running for NPOY before being the #3 overall pick, but I am thrilled to have Murray on board. Murray-Aminu + Riley-Bristol is a top of the Big East level group of wings. Just need to find some guys around them now.

How many years did Monroe stay; can’t remember, but if we had had Porter for one more year! Deadly shooter, especially from mid-range. I would have to it’s a tie! Monroe: Two seasons (2008-10) Porter: Two seasons (2011-13) --AdminThank you admin for confirming that both were equally good as is seen in how quickly they bolted for the NBA!

Murray is the real deal and was probably the best player in the portal.A late bloomer who was always overshadowed at Poly by Justin Lewis- who is currently head and shoulders (IMHO) the best player in the BE (if he stays). Murray is a more than adequate replacement for Aminu. Now how about some Bigs?

I like Murray and he was a big get, but let’s pump the breaks - he arguably wasn’t the best guy in the portal from his own team. If you had said top 20 I would be with you. He will need to show more than he did last year to be a legitimate lead man in the Big East. Maybe he can make that leap, but far from a sure thing.

Sir I’m merely cheering for our newest Hoya Hey hoyaatheart, my apologies for reading too much into your post and reacting impulsively without thinking it through. I'm sensitive to the three words you used due to a group of awful people co-opting it to curse out our current president. I can see that this is not what you meant. Hoya Saxa!

Microcosm of our country. Someone makes an off color joke (which in this case was pretty funny) …and receives a personal attack from someone else.

“Great motor and communicator, which makes him one of the better all-around defenders in college basketball on and off the ball. Big shot-maker who is at his best finishing in transition. As he continues to develop, his all-around offensive game and work ethic will help him become one of the top two-way players in America.” watchstadium.com/the-top-75-college-basketball-transfers-for-2022-23-04-14-2022/

1. Brandon Murray | 6-5 wing | sophomore | Transferred from LSU to GeorgetownThe Scout: Murray is a terrific, ready-made two-way teenager at the wing position. With Will Wade and the Tigers’ coaching staff turning over following the season, Murray entered the portal. A former four-star, top-100 recruit out of IMG Academy, Murray had about as good a freshman season as could have been expected, averaging 10 points and saving his best for conference play, averaging 11 points and shooting 49 percent from the field and 35 percent from 3. On top of that, he was pretty good defensively this season switching within LSU’s scheme across the perimeter positions. He was rewarded for his play with All-Freshman SEC honors after the season. He is from the Baltimore area and was recruited by Kevin Nickelberry, who recently went to Georgetown as an assistant under Patrick Ewing. He’s a clear high-major wing, and potential NBA player down the road. The Fit: Murray lands in a place with some familiarity because of the connection to Nickelberry. The Hoyas need an influx of real talent after going winless in the Big East, and Murray is that. An SEC coach described him as one of the best 3-and-D options in the portal. Murray’s defensive versatility should help what was by far the worst defense in the Big East. The Hoyas also need some scoring pop, and Murray is talented enough to emerge as a legitimate go-to guy. theathletic.com/3258853/2022/04/20/evaluating-the-best-fits-from-the-college-basketball-transfer-portal-from-brandon-murray-lsu-to-dawson-garcia-minnesota/

Ewing clearly has the S-A-D-I-M touch.
Everything he touches turns to crap…

Plus, Murray is at the top of my list of least enjoyable Hoyas to watch of all-time. Never seen a player blame others more for his own mistakes.....and there are plenty.
