Get back to Defending the District I’d settle for defending the hoop or the three point line. Just one for now. Don’t want to get greedy.

It will be very depressing if Butler blows us out at home. I don't think they will, but I also don't think it is impossible.

They are definitely one of the weaker teams in the conference. We gotta get this one. It will be tight as Butler kind of plays that way. They have had our number at Cap One so time to turn the tide.

On the KenPom rankings, we are 59% to win this game, the highest of any remaining game this year. We have to win this one.

Hope for a full squad and disciplined offense committed to ball movement and aggressive defense without over-helping. I know that in the aftermath of COVID lockdown and the disastrous Marquette game it's been open season on the coach and players, but it would be nice for all concerned, including the fans, to quiet the rancor and enjoy some basketball again. I think that there is more talent on this team than others have suggested. Definitely holes, but this team has enough quality to be competitive if they remain disciplined. The coaches have to make the transition with these kids from potential to production.

I hope for "crazed dog" aggression and passion and a total refusal to lose.

Will Tim be on board? What about Kobe? I think coach should seriously consider playing big boy ball again if Tim is back. I would love to see him experiment with twin towers at some stretches of the game with Mutombo and Wilson and with Mutombo and Tim playing together in small stretches of the game. On offense, I would love to see Mutombo stretch the floor from the key to the three point line. It's time we give our offense a bit of nuance. On defense, I would love to see Tim and Wilson shot blocking and rebounding. I would love to see Mutombo cut off the penetration of the guard from getting into the key which I think he does a very good job at. The starting lineup should include Colin and Colin, Aminu and Dante should be leading our offensive attack.

Face it, for an early conference game this is a must win. Another loss or god forbid a blowout and things will get really ugly on the Hilltop.

I could see us being favored at home against St. John’s and Creighton. Particularly with COVID and the wild card of people sitting any given night.

Did we ever find out why Carey and Mutombo didn't play? it seemed like Carey was on the bench.

Not to mention we did find out that Carey was sick prior to the game itself. Ryan was a DNP Coach's Decision and I doubt whether Ewing walked out or not we ever find out why he didn't play.

I agree the question should be asked, but other than injuries, Ewing has never explained such situations. So, I assume he would say coach's decision and move on.
