Amazing what having a player like Giannis can do for one’s coaching prospects.

Porter Moser to Oklahoma. Seems like a weird choice but apparent DePaul didn’t have the resources to get Moser AD @ Okla is Joe Castiglione who was Gtown athl dept for 1-2 Max years around 79-81. Actually had forward thinking ideas. Considered best/near the best college AD. been at Okla many years and previously was AD at Missouri. Sat with the Missouri people at the 82 McDonough game - a year after GU and sat with Senator Danforth. Castiglione was also Executive Director of Hoyas Unlimited for that year or two.

I can see this. I know John Brannen from his days at Marshall University so there something about him that I shouldn't share on a message board that I'm not sure is public that may be contributing to this.

Well at least that means he can do that stupid hook em with some level of being genuine about it.

Which one is it? 7 or 4 years? Seven years--my reference was to the chronic impatience of the UTexas donor base.

While I think Texas' alumni and fan base sets expectations that are impossible to achieve by a mere mortal, if anybody has a chance to succeed I think it's Beard. He's one of the best coaches in the country, so definitely worth Texas paying him that much.

Agreed, I can’t see him not be a perennial final four contender, especially with the old guard set to retire (Williams, coach k, boeheim)
