Just finished reading. Thought provoking. The man fought for what he believed in.

My son got me the book as a Christmas gift. Just started it but so far it is clear that Big John intends to speak his piece.
Can’t wait to finish.

In the book, Thompson continues to teach me. He was a great man.

What a great book. A must read for any Hoya fan. It fills in much of the nuance that this board was lacking for the last 25 years.

I was excited to read it and I did really enjoy it. But, as I got nearer to the end, I got more and more sad that it's the last words that I'll read from Big John himself. It made me not want to finish it so there'd be something left. Then, I reflected a little on what I had already read and realized that there's so much remaining of his life's work. There just won't be any more words from the man himself. May he RIP and may his work and his legacy resonate for years and years to come. Pretty incredible life. I'm proud to be able to call myself a Hoya in part because of Big Coach. Considering when I attended, I may very well have never had Georgetown on my list of schools had it not been for him. If only for that, I owe the man a debt of gratitude.

My book is in the mail. I am very interested in reading the book. I am probably one of the few on this board that followed him in HS and was at the KoC tournament in McD in 1960 or 1961, where Carroll won the tournament.

Thanks, I am looking forward to reading it. Would someone who has read it tell the rest of us if JT2 addresses recruiting, or lack there of, in his last few years as head coach?
