I will be there with a dozen 1981 classmates. Time to shred the Orange.

Have to like shooting 53% from deep before going into that zone.

Yurt and Pickett have the length to hit shots around the foul line all day and collapse that zone; keep moving the ball and find these opportunities

Also got some zone reps against OSU on Wednesday. Obviously not quite the same, but can't hurt

Can't give up open 3's like we did tonight. Hughes and Buddy Magoo can shoot, can't let them get confident.

Agree, SMU missed a bunch of shots tonight and it wasn’t always because of our defense.

I sure hope we can win this one. Syracuse hasn't looked great of late. We just had a really strong road trip. It's time to back it up at home and give DC something to cheer about.

Who is going to flash to the middle of their zone on offense? I am thinking Mosely may need to be that guy. I was thinking it could be Pickett but I think we need him at the wing to stretch the defense.

Yurt is automatic from there Yes, Yurtseven was very effective from the foul line in a few possessions against the Ok. State zone. There were some drive and dump into Yurt behind the zone plays that worked really well in OkSt game, as well as the dump in the middle pull-ups in the soft spots of the zone too. The fast ball movement and great skip passes on over rotation in zone have been really effective.

I missed the Okla St game....good to know.
At the same time, love that Syracuse doesn’t have quite the same length they usually do at the top of their zone....should make life a bit easier for our shooters. Would also love to see Mac penetrate into the teeth of the zone a few times to keep them honest.

Would also love to see Mac penetrate into the teeth of the zone a few times to keep them honest. You just KNOW he will. Mac will drive on anyone... and usually finish well too. Kid has really shown who he is and what he can do these last two games. Yurt can pass and shoot - perfect guy for the FT line/middle- a la Greg Monroe And, we have Louis Orr who knows as much about the Cuse zone as anyone

Ewing hasn’t won against cuse yet - though believe all the games have been competitive.
Pickett, yurt and Mosley presumably take turns flashing to the ft line. We can’t just fall in love with 3.....hard to expect the same % as last two games.
