Anyone know how t j7o rewatch this game? Forgot to set it on my DVR and can’t seem to find it on any of the apps available as a rewatch It’s super convoluted but here’s the way I was able to rewatch. Sure there was an easier way, but I could t find it. I searched for Georgetown in the Fox Sports Go app (couldn’t find it in Fox Sports app). It located the game. Then when I tried to watch it, it launched the Fox Sports app. The game played. I have access to both through my cable provider. I have no idea why it was so roundabout. I went to Foxsports.com and it asked me for my cable provider, logged on and watched. Didnt use the app. Menu takes you to "Watch" then click on "Replays". On my laptop. www.foxsports.com/

Wasn’t able to post right after game, but very impressed with the resiliency of this group:
• Pre-game there was a discussion about who would be the person positioned in the middle of the zone. While Yurt7 got there a few times and Mac as well, it wasn’t even necessary. We got into the middle of the zone with dribble penetration and a simple screen at the top of the key. Cuse top line was clearly trying to force us to the sidelines and our guys did a great job of fighting through to get to the middle. Good preparation
• Allen continues to control tempo. The play in the 2nd half where he jump stopped in the middle of the key, basically faked three separate passes, then had an open floater in the middle summarizes his approach. The defense was so worried about his passing that they forgot to even cover the ball
• What a game from Mosely. He made Hughes work for every bucket in the first half, and by the 2nd half it just looked like Hughes didn’t want to work for it anymore. On offense, he’s become a legitimate threat for catch-and-shoot 3s.
• Our conditioning can’t be understated. Despite the heavy minutes load, nobody looked gassed.
• When there’s a discussion on the board about why we don’t play more zone, I think today helped answer that. The Cuse perimeter simply doesn’t have the size and length it normally does, and despite it being their sole defensive philosophy / focus, they can’t play it. We got wherever we wanted today
• My biggest criticism of the team would probably be from the 6-3 min mark of the game. Cuse started pressing, and we beat it handily but then forced a quick shot. That is exactly what Cuse wanted in that spot. Blair missed a 3, Mac missed a pull up jumper, I think Yurt7 actually hit a baseline jumper but they were all quick shots. If you have a dunk in transition that is fine, otherwise pull it back and use clock. Almost opened a window for them to work back
• I get the free throw disparity was heavily in our favor, but I didn’t see the reffing as extremely tilted. The Mac / Dolezaj block call was very close. It looked like Dolezaj slid up towards Mac, but after the Duke game I’m programmed to think everything is a charge so it broke my brain. There was a block called on Girard when Allen was a little out of control, but I think Girard literally turned his shoulder and stood sideways? And the Mac tech was clearly a makeup call, there are worse reactions on every play. When you settle for jumpers, you don’t get foul calls
We’re going to be in bracket projections this week, and as much as it’s the quality wins, our computer profile (KenPom / Sagarin) agrees that we’re in the mix. And while the next three games won’t be “quality” wins, they all contribute to those profiles. Take care of business boys.

To conserve energy and fouls, we've made the adjustment to back off of the press we used earlier in the season. However, we aren't losing much by going away from it. Could even argue it has helped us. The quick shots when we are trying to protect a lead down the stretch has been a recurring problem since Pat took over. I agree; unless it leads to a dunk, we should be pulling it back and running some clock to limit opponent possessions. We need to get this fixed or it will cost us again at some point in the season. Hopefully Allen will help in this regard as he has been great with controlling tempo since being inserted in the starting lineup.

A couple of belated observations from Section 200:
- Late in the first half, I witnessed one of the best inbounds plays I’ve seen the Hoyas run, certainly in the Ewing era and for a while before that. Allen was inbounding the ball under our basket, and after a few seconds, he lobbed it to Yurt at the top of the key, which looked like a safety valve pass to reset the offense. Except it wasn’t, because Allen then sprinted from the baseline to the free throw line, received the return pass from Yurt and skipped it to Mosely on the right elbow for a wide open 3. i don’t know if that was drawn up that way or if the players were just reacting, but I/we often complain about lack of quality inbounds play, and that one was sparkling.
- I love that we were running 3- and 4-guard lineups out all day all we still crushed Cuse on the boards. Lots of hustle on this team

Lots of hustle on this team Based on the numbers, any line up that includes Yurt7, Pickett and Mosely is an elite rebounding unit. Not to mention that Qudus and Mac are also very solid on the boards.

Lots of hustle on this team Yea. I saw that inbounds too and thought it was interesting. Allen made that move from baseline to free throw line several times throughout the game, and it was pretty effective coming from the blind side. What I also find interesting is that Georgetown philosophically seems to concede inbounds plays to just get the ball in and start the offense. The Hoyas are in the 37th percentile in out-of-bounds (end) plays at .772 PPP per Synergy. Meanwhile, Syracuse is 97th percentile at 1.163. Syracuse had a couple of inbound plays that worked against us. I would think some low hanging fruit would be to add a couple of inbound plays to get a quality look. If there are 4-6 inbound plays per game, there could be 2-3 additional points per game just out of doing something other than lobbing it to the center.

During the JT3 era he would always play zone defense when ball was under the hoop to try and mitigate the easy buckets that could occur. Unfortunately if the team scored 15 seconds later against our zone defense it didn't much matter.

Great win fellas! The guards are playing locked in and confident. It's a thing of beauty to watch. And I'm telling you - we have not seen nearly the best Yurtseven has to offer. Theres a 30-15 game in his future. Just keep getting better as a team. No let up against the 3 weaker teams upcoming. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. I didnt think the 30-15 game would happen within a week!
