First of all, if he is excited about this role..than I am thrilled for him. Obviously a class act and fine guy in every respect. However, I am a bit mystified he hasn't been hired as a college coach, anywhere. Would be surprised if this newly created, hybrid role in the nba is his dream job. Wish him the best and perhaps this will be a springboard to something even better for him.

Good for Coach. Gets to stay home, be with his family and remain in the game.
Not exactly sure what the role is but it sounds like it will suit his strengths rather than weaknesses.

Congrats, JT3!...always a Hoya...never forget the beautiful 5 hour drive back from the Meadowlands after the late game torching of the Tar Heels to make the final four...

Glad to see III get back into basketball. Regardless of the role, I think basketball benefits by having him more involved in the game. Seems like a convenient fit and who knows where it could lead for him. Much better than calling AAC games on ESPN Thursday nights!

It looks like JT3 finally got a coaching job... ...AS A LIFE COACH! Hope he's qualified and certified for that...

JFC...have you not been paying attention? Since when was the coach of Georgetown men’s basketball not a life coach. Ever heard of a deflated basketball on JTjr’s desk? Of course, but JT3 wanted to be a basketball coach and, according to reports, interviewed with colleges to get a gig. No takers. Now he's a Life Coach, not a basketball coach. Again, I hope he's ceritified as such before starting to hand out life advice to young, rich pros. No need to get a Life Coach certification to be a GU head coach... you just have to know about the deflated basketball on JTjr's desk...

Anyone who knows JT3 knows what kind of mentor he is. I personally am happy for him and think he’s incredibly well suited for the role.
