Bizarre world we live in where Depaul is the 3 seed and St. John's is playing on Wed. night.

How many days have scheduled games remaining? That's how many times we can expect this to change. It's just crazy having eight teams separated by two games.

If I had to guess at the bracket with 2-3 games left this is my guess:
1.) Marquette - 15-3: 3-0 vs Creighton, at SH, vs Gtown 2.) Villanova - 14-4: 2-0 vs Butler, at SH 3.) Xavier - 9-9: 1-1 at Butler (L), vs SJ (W) Xavier would have tiebreaker over SJ 4.) St Johns - 9-9: 1-1 at DePaul (W), at Xavier (L) 5.) Seton Hall - 8-10: 1-2 at Gtown (W), vs Marq.(L), vs Nova (L) Seton Hall would have tiebreaker over Gtown and Creighton 6.) Creighton - 8-10: 2-1 at Marquette (L), vs PC (W), vs DePaul (W) Creighton has tiebreaker over Gtown 7.) Georgetown - 8-10: 1-2 vs SH (L), at DePaul (W), at Marq. (L) 8.) Providence - 7-11: 1-1 at Creighton (L), vs Butler (W) PC would have tiebreaker over Butler 9.) Butler - 7-11: 1-2 vs Nova (L), vs Xavier (W), at PC (L) 10.) DePaul 5-13: 0-3 vs SJ (L), vs Gtown (L), at Creighton (L)
While I think less likely if we go 1-2 with a win over SH instead of DePaul that would help us avoid Weds night. If we lose to them it’s highly likely we’ll be in a 3 way tie at 8-10 and we’d lose tiebreakers with both those teams.
I don’t see Creighton losing to PC or DePaul at home nor do I see Xavier or SJ going 0-2.
What I hate the most about this scenario painted above is we’d be playing DePaul for the 3rd time in 3 weeks, and much like last year against SJ it’s tough to beat a team 3 times in a year.
While I know many here are dreaming of NCAAs, but to me Saturday’s game is as important for the BET, where I desperately want us to have at least a Thursday game. If we win and can get the 6 seed I’d like a path of Xavier/SJ then Nova to get to a final.

Rooting interest should be on Nova (at Butler) Marquette (vs Creighton) and DePaul (vs St Johns) this weekend. Xavier and PC are both off. If those results happen (DePaul vs SJ is much less meaningful) coupled with a Hoya win, we’d have around a 75 pct probability of a Top 6 seed no matter what happens the last two games. Lose and I think it’s 25 pct at best.

PC's games next week are also huge (at Creighton and vs Butler). We need to be big fans and the side benefit is if PC could win both, they'd prob move into the Top 75, and we'd pick up additional Q2 wins.

This weekend, we root for Nova over Butler, DePaul over SJU, and Marquette over Creighton. Coupled with a Hoya win over the Hall, and we are tied for third with Xavier heading into DePaul.
I’ll take that and a bag of chips.
