I don't think starting line-up matters. Keep Mac in the starting line-up and then bring Greg is ASAP for whoever is struggling the most between Akinjo, Mac, and Pickett. Bring in everyone else as needed for rest or match up purposes. This isn't a first team second team thing. Majority of minutes should be decided upon during the game based on who is playing well together. My main issue with the team right now is when we see lineups like Moseley, Blair, Pickett, X, Carter. I do think Pat will go with what you are saying but I think that when Jessie, James, and Josh are getting breaks it would be good to have someone in there that demands the ball and is fresh, not a Mac that has been playing since tip. I think if you watch the second half of the Butler game, Ewing made a conscious decision NOT to go with that lineup again. I think one of Akinjo or Govan was in the game for the entire second half.

I like the fact our team is so deep, and versatile...we have pg play, shooters, defenders, and inside play. Most of all the team is hungry for success. We perform well in the BE and the tourney, we can go ncaa dancing THIS SEASON.

I like that our rotation is how many players are available.

Didn’t like when we only had 1 starter on the floor middle of the first half versus Butler and relinquished most of th lead we built up. At a minimum need to have 2 of Jessie, Josh, and James in at all times.

This team lacks a defensive identity and I think that the constant lineup shuffling is making it worse. Most of the time PE’s “play the hot hand” substitution approach is based on offense with (seemingly) little regard for how the lineup will function defensively. Tonight I thought Mosely and Leblanc needed to be on the floor more in the second half (when we were giving up 50 pts in the half). It’s bizarre that PE has multiple times sat a player for an entire first half only to play that player for most of the second half (tonight it was Blair).

i think it’s time to shorten the rotation. Akinjo, Malinowski, Pickett, Leblanc, Govan, Mosely, Kaleb, Mac.
Mourning or Carter for few minutes if needed for bigs in foul trouble (but nothing more).
Gameplan for who is guarding who for each game and stick to it. These players need more defined roles on defense, and they need to function as a unit. You can’t do that when you are playing 10 players and constantly mixing and matching. Enough.
