Good luck to Antwan. I was excited about the depth he provided at the 4 and his potential.

That's makes half of Patrick Ewing's inaugural recruiting class to be dismissed from the team within twelve months (following Chris Sodom). Not reading anything into it. . .just commenting.

I believe though that Walker was a JT3 commit that Ewing was able to secure during the transition... Really, really disappointed by this. I was really looking forward to seeing him play in an expanded role. Probably also speaks to how Ewing has been recruiting in terms of so many players in the frontcourt being on the radar and signed...

WOW...if true this sucks and is tough loss so close to the season. A distraction the team doesn't need. I trust the staff but is a tough loss to the program. Expected a nice jump from Walker his sophomore season...

Hope LeBlanc and Carter are ready to contribute. It is a shame that Walker is not going to be with the team, but it opens up an opportunity for these two freshman and the team will need them to be ready. Probably means we will see more minutes for Trey Mourning at center and PF also.
I have no idea what might have happened but you get the sense that coach Ewing runs a tight ship and sets high expectations for his players.

Tough loss. My instinct is to trust Coach and the program that they are making the right decision here, though it will hurt this year's roster. Time to update the schollie tables....

I find this a little bizarre. I have no idea what may have happened, but earlier today, I attempted to create a thread asking if anyone knew how the practices and competion has been proceeding. Early, but I'm curious. My attempted post never materialized. I thought perhaps it was jetisoned by the admin....or maybe somehow I didnt do it. Then this happens. What is the inside scoop? This opens up something for someone this year and next year....strange!
MOD NOTE: I personally did not delete a thread and our practice is to communicate with posters, either within a thread or by PM, if we decide an edit(s) or deletion is warranted. If you have not heard from one of us, chances are your post did not go through.
Nothing here either. No posts were pulled down by me.--Admin

I'm disappointed for the young man but I'm not surprised nor baffled by the results of what is probably the following of team rules. If the young men are not conducting themselves in a certain manner then they would be placing themselves in a very awkward position.
Somethings are beyond basketball.

Very disappointing to this Hoya fan. I thought Walker could be a contributor. I trust the Coach's judgment nonetheless. Next man up.

Son of a b****! I hate to hear about this. Kids are stupid but I hope he gets another chance if it is warranted.

All i know from my viewpoint is he was an athletic kid who looked like he had a solid future ahead of him.
Disappointed for him and the program. Especially when this makes 2 in 2 seasons.
From a basketball standpoint... I still see many college 4s on this roster. Josh & Trey need to step up that much more and Grayson moves one spot up on the bench.

I love the fact that Coach Ewing has standards he expects from his players. He is doing it the right way. It opens up a spot for a 4 * recruit. Its a loss but we will move on.

Sophomore forward Antwan Walker has been removed from the 2018-19 Georgetown men's team, per sources and confirmed by a school press release. It follows; "Georgetown University men’s basketball coach Patrick Ewing announced today that sophomore forward Antwan Walker (Washington, D.C./Hargrave Military Academy) has been dismissed from the progam. Walker averaged 2.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 7.3 minutes in 25 games in his freshman season". Link?
