I find this a little bizarre. I have no idea what may have happened, but earlier today, I attempted to create a thread asking if anyone knew how the practices and competion has been proceeding. Early, but I'm curious. My attempted post never materialized. I thought perhaps it was jetisoned by the admin....or maybe somehow I didnt do it. Then this happens. What is the inside scoop? This opens up something for someone this year and next year....strange! MOD NOTE: I personally did not delete a thread and our practice is to communicate with posters, either within a thread or by PM, if we decide an edit(s) or deletion is warranted. If you have not heard from one of us, chances are your post did not go through. Nothing here either. No posts were pulled down by me.--AdminThanks...it could be my phone!

Recruits ought to know Patrick is strict and won't tolerate crossing non-negotiables. He is setting a standard of tough discipline from what it appears!

This is hard to take for Hoya fans. But rules are rules. This opens a spot for Marcus D., if he wants to come back. Oops!

Tough break. Was hoping he could be a legitimate piece. Wish him well.

I’m bummed. He would have been a good four year kid. I really wish him luck at the next stop in his journey.

Too bad. I saw him fitting into a JYD role. Never was going to be a star, but a solid contributor as an upperclassman. Others out there to easily fill the role. Next...

Sh**! But I trust Pat - maybe he got in a fight with someone on the team If so I hope it wasn't Akinjo. I will start worrying if it's our firey PG..... also I hope Pat is as strict with 4/5* recruits. Not saying that he won't be but it will not go over well if it's perceived that space is being clear for higher ranked players....

Dang! I was looking forward to Walker's progress this year. I wish him the best and hope for a good opportunity to get it right.

Patrick was there when Fred Brown used a chair on a teammate .i assume it's something more serious or an accumulation of things Who knows. Question is when and if we will here the real story

I'm really sorry about this. Antwan seems like a good kid. And his dismissal really doesn't change my impression, though I really have no reason to doubt the disciplinary action. PE is trying to change the team culture and that I support wholeheartedly. Lots of luck Antwan.

Very disappointed to see this...from a purely bball pt of view, this hurts us...must have been something serious to warrant dismissal...likely too early to be academic, and he seemed "ready to go" at midnight madness...we'll probably never know, but sorry to see this at this point in time...

Very sad about this. This is a DC kid, who committed to Gtown, never wavered with the coaching change and really wanted to be a Hoya. No idea what happened, but this just sucks for many reasons.

Welp, I guess GW may bring him along just like Chris Sodom.

why are so many jumping to the conclusion that he was dismissed for fighting with a teammate . I agree. I actually think it's less likely you'd get dismissed for something with a teammate than someone else. These guys are teenagers, and when you practice hard, etc. things happen. I would be shocked if this dismissal has anything to do with a situation like that. There's got to be more than that.

I doubt that a fistfight between teammates is grounds for dismissal. I'd bet that Pat would secretly like it in the right circumstances.
Assuming that it is justified, I have no problems with dismissing a player that does not meet expectations of behavior, whether it is basic team rules or University policy or a legal matter. I also have no problems with leniency and second chances, if the player is truly sorry and is working to rectify whatever issues there are.

Anyone know if he was seen at Hoya Madness last Friday? Yes, he made a half court shot for the Sophomore Team and to be honest I was impressed.
