Anyone know if he was seen at Hoya Madness last Friday? Yes, he made a half court shot for the Sophomore Team and to be honest I was impressed. Walker was getting along with everybody at Hoya Madness. He seemed like he was looking forward to the season and ready to go in interviews around the event and leading up to it.

No clue what the circumstances are surrounding his dismissal. Really liked his athleticsm and overall potential. I'm hoping somehow someway Antwan Walker finds his way back and is reinstated to the team. Not even sure it's an option but anything is possible....

If so I hope it wasn't Akinjo. I will start worrying if it's our firey PG..... also I hope Pat is as strict with 4/5* recruits. Not saying that he won't be but it will not go over well if it's perceived that space is being clear for higher ranked players.... why are so many jumping to the conclusion that he was dismissed for fighting with a teammate . Patrick was there when Fred Brown used a chair on a teammate .i assume it's something more serious or an accumulation of things Who knows. Question is when and if we will here the real story I never jumped to any conclusions. I said "if so".... I agree that a fight shouldn't be enough for dismissal but if he loss control after the fight and said or did something to other members than maybe... I've seen people that will go after anyone who gets in the way when the switch is turned on....

Didn’t want to see Walker go, but now we have a scholarship for the end of season lottery.

why are so many jumping to the conclusion that he was dismissed for fighting with a teammate . Likely due to the one unsubstantiated tweet by a 247 guy (linked on the first page of this thread) which is basically hearsay. That and the academics speculation upthread is why we discourage that here. Not fair to the students regardless of what the truth may be.

Sad. For him and the team. Besides McClung and Akinjo Walker impressed me the most in the Kenner games I saw. Really thought he'd be our surprise contributor this year.

I love the fact that Coach Ewing has standards he expects from his players. He is doing it the right way. It opens up a spot for a 4 * recruit. Its a loss but we will move on. me thinks we will now truly see what Grayson Carter can do. He has a nice game.

I would have to think there was a good chance he was our starting PF to at least begin the season...to lose a starter, granted probably the 5th option if he did start, at this point is a blow to any team...

Hard to form an opinion without knowing the circumstances. The one thing you can say is that he let the team down.

CBSSports.com has some details: "Per multiple sources familiar with the situation, Walker has been involved in several altercations in the past few weeks, stemming from a dispute with another Georgetown student athlete from a different Georgetown athletic program. At least two of the aforementioned altercations became physical, and Walker injured his hand in the process." www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/georgetown-sophomore-forward-antwan-walker-dismissed-from-team/Regardless of the circumstances of this I'm sorry for Antwan and wish him luck.

Whelp.
Geez. Count me as one who has been positive about Walker's game and much needed athleticism in the frontcourt and felt he was going to be one of many Hoyas who was going to surprise this season. I felt he was going to be a starter and help the Hoyas back to the Big Dance this season!
Ewing is a heck of a disciplinarian. I'm not sure if that is always a good thing. Not knowing the specifics of what led to all of this it may not be wise for me to say this but has he ever heard of the expression of give a kid a second chance?

Well wouldn't "several altercations" (if accurate of course) suggest a second chance - and maybe even more - HAD been given?

THAT'S GOING WAY WAY TOO FAR... The implications your trying to draw attention to ARE COMPLETELY OUTTA BOUNDS and without any merit! That's absolutely not Fair to try and paint that picture with zero facts...

I didn’t get “female” athlete from the article at all. What made you think that?
