You are right. I was looking at the wrong column comparing his FGA (458) )to MD and JG points (460) and (536). I must have been tired....because I wasn’t drinking!!!! I was correct that he attempted 158 three pointers to Pickett’s 157. I guess we really should be looking at tempo free stats. Looks like Ryan had ORtg of 98.8 and %Poss of 31.2% and % Shots of 40.7%. The following Hoyas had a similar ORtg: Blair (99.3) & Mosely (98.0.) Our highest % Poss was Govan at 24.8% and highest % Shots was Goven at 28.3% What really killed his efficiency was going 128-300 on twos (42.7%). If he were to come to Georgetown, I think thegoal would be for him to make threes a higher percentage of his total shots. If he's shooting 42.7% from two, and 42.4% from three, it means he's almost certainly taking a lot of really bad twos that he would ideally not take at all on a team where his usage is lower than 31.2. We wouldn’t need him to take all those shots....hopefully just open 3s. Of course, diligence needs to be done that he can actually play team offensive basketball.

Hoyas need shooters, not necessarily scorers. High percentage over high volume. We have others who can score as well. Just need the kid(s) who are accurate and not just willing to take the shot.

Agreed. The question is whether a high volume guy on a worse team can become an efficient scorer. Pryor did it but if a guy is a gunner it’s unlikely to be work out well.

Grad transfer, A-10 ROY who averaged in double-figures all three seasons at Fordham. Averaged 12 pts, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in the A-10. Could be a solid one-year pickup if the 2018 recruits we're going after don't materialize.

Chartouny had a really good sophomore year. Not so much his junior year. Not sure what happened as didn’t follow them as closely this year.

Immediately eligible grad-transfer guard that averaged over 10 points throughout college career Jagan's older brother... He only played two games this year, and ten the year before. Was he injured? He must have received a redshirt of some sort, otherwise his eligibility would be expired. He shot 41.1% from three freshman year, but went downhill his sophomore year. Given how little he has played over the last two seasons, it's really hard to evaluate him.

Yes he red shirted. Seems like a solid player with decent stats.

I think Carr was the starting/main PG for Pitt. If he is the kid I am thinking about, he was a pretty quick/athletic PG. It is a shame all these kids have to sit a year, because I would think the Hoyas would have an interest and some of these players could have helped next year. I didn't realize the Ellison kid who left St John's was at Pitt. He showed promise at St John's when he was there. Wonder if he needs to sit another year? Carr would be a huge get - knows Jahvon Blair from Canadian all star circuit. Hopefully Coach Ewing and staff are all over this one - he'd be worth pursuing even if he has to sit a year. Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 Pitt transfer freshman Marcus Carr has seen interest come in from Texas, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Iowa State, Gonzaga, Xavier, UMass, Marquette and Akron since receiving his release, per source. A top transfer prospect this spring

Jeff Borzello @jeffborzello Point guard Justin Coleman leaving Samford as a graduate transfer. Averaged 13.5 points and 6.6 assists. This kid is a very interesting option - was originally at Alabama for 2 years (starting 16 games in Tuscaloosa) before transferring to Samford and playing 1 season. So he's a high major athlete with impressive stats and experience, whom Robert Kirby is likely familiar with from his Southern ties. Hope Coach Ewing looks at Coleman very hard.
