Watched him against Butler earlier this year, he was really good that night... He can score the ball and is a good enough athlete to play at this level. Redshirt year should help also.

Against the best teams they played, Scott had 26 (Butler), 17 (Florida St), 19 (Texas Tech) and 21 (Washington).

We need a guard for ‘18. Lots of options still for ‘19. We need to roll next year with Jessie and Marcus as seniors.

#s very impressive...led conf in scoring...6'5 guard 42% from 3 and 86% from line...i'd definitely make a strong inquiry as this is the type player we need imo...

Haven’t watched any videos, but it looks like he took over 18 shots a game to get those 21 points. Also only 3 ft a game, so tells me he’s mostly a jump shooter. I’d rather we get a ball handler type that can pass and create for others.

I’d rather we get a ball handler type that can pass and create for others. He's not efficient overall (though not awful) but that's largely because his usage was sky high - 31.2% (the 28th highest usage in all of college basketball). His fundamentals look pretty good - 42.4% from three, and an extremely low turnover rate. Statistically, he's a lot like Pryor was at Robert Morris. If you reduced him from being the primary option to one of many, I expect his efficiency to improve and there's no reason to think his three point shooting would get much worse. Our staff really needs to take a serious look at Ryan Taylor.

It's also because Evansville was running terrible, outdated offense. He's a nice player, but not Rodney Pryor either.

I believe he shot about the same number of 3 pointers as Pickett.

He's shooting percentages may be a bit skewed. Teams he went against in doubled teamed as him taking some bad shots as well.

Basically the entire Pitt roster is now available for transfer . . . tinyurl.com/yaqhn3mzWho is this Marcus Carr guy from Toronto? Seems to have decent numbers for a freshman on a bad team.

I think Carr was the starting/main PG for Pitt. If he is the kid I am thinking about, he was a pretty quick/athletic PG. It is a shame all these kids have to sit a year, because I would think the Hoyas would have an interest and some of these players could have helped next year. I didn't realize the Ellison kid who left St John's was at Pitt. He showed promise at St John's when he was there. Wonder if he needs to sit another year?

Carr would be a huge get - knows Jahvon Blair from Canadian all star circuit. Hopefully Coach Ewing and staff are all over this one - he'd be worth pursuing even if he has to sit a year.

I must have been tired....because I wasn’t drinking!!!! I was correct that he attempted 158 three pointers to Pickett’s 157. I guess we really should be looking at tempo free stats. Looks like Ryan had ORtg of 98.8 and %Poss of 31.2% and % Shots of 40.7%. The following Hoyas had a similar ORtg: Blair (99.3) & Mosely (98.0.) Our highest % Poss was Govan at 24.8% and highest % Shots was Goven at 28.3%

Our highest % Poss was Govan at 24.8% and highest % Shots was Goven at 28.3% What really killed his efficiency was going 128-300 on twos (42.7%). If he were to come to Georgetown, I think the goal would be for him to make threes a higher percentage of his total shots. If he's shooting 42.7% from two, and 42.4% from three, it means he's almost certainly taking a lot of really bad twos that he would ideally not take at all on a team where his usage is lower than 31.2. I have no idea if he's a good ball handler, but his turnover rate is super low. Given his high usage, I would think he almost certainly cannot be a bad handler, even if it's not a particular strength, but I've never seen him play.
