Look at the early entry undrafted players: Dozier soph, Oliver soph, Simmons freshman, Briscoe soph. What are these guys thinking? I get guys like Peak, Trimble who are three year guys and likely near a degree but this is getting to be insane. They are thinking that they don't really care about college/education and want to get a head start on their earning career. You can go to europe and make 60-100k plus endorsements to start. If you think basketball is your earning potential and say you have 10 more good years to play when you are 20 years old, why would you spend 2 years not earning money? Obviously there are some that value a college education and the things it brings (ie job prospects outside of basketball), but that isnt everyone.

Rockets just traded half their guard/wing rotation for CP3... Good news for Peak

Excellent news for LJ with Lou Williams on the move and cap issues looming for the Rockets with CP coming in. They're going to have to let free agents go, making room for lower cost new arrivals. And no draft picks from this year coming in.

What you say makes sense, but the rumor mill has the Rockets going after Paul George or Carmelo what you say make sense, but the rumor mill has the Rockets going after Paul George or carmella. I guess there's a lot of horse trading left to be done

They are going to need some inexpensive, versatile players to fill out the end of the bench. Hoping that's where LJ comes in. This could end up being his best landing spot after the trade.

He just won the Buyout Battle against Phil Jackson. And he has a full NTC.

It doesn't appear that summer league is helping LJ. He was down to five minutes PT last night. I've also noticed that the Rockets reserves, including LJ, have had some bad +/- numbers, but that's a tough stat to evaluate without seeing the games (which I haven't).

Yeah- not a good sign for him in yesterday's game.

LJ's found a partial home, and will be staying in the US at least.

LJ Peak signs with an NBA team and Taurean Thompson leaves Cuse? It's a great day to be a hoya!

Probably not a playing time available this year wiht the Celtics but I think he could develop into a Tony Allen type player. Brad Stevens and his staff do a great job developing players and the city loves players that work hard. LJ will fit right in!!

Good news for LJ. Now work even harder until you force them to put you on the roster.

I would normally say signing with a good teams is a bad thing for a player like LJ's hopes of getting NBA minutes but the Celtics dont exactly have a lot of shooting guards or defenders so maybe it works out for him.

It's a great opportunity. The Celtics will be close to the cap if they get Kyrie so they need guys with ultra cheap salaries who can play.

LJ just signed to play in New Zealand with the Wellington Saints, the team Kevin Braswell coached the last two years. Season starts April 27. From NZHoops (@nzhoops) via Casual Hoya

With summer league starting here, I thought I'd check in on LJ. The Braswell-coached Cigna (Wellington) Saints are the power in NZ, but player stats are few and far between except for game high scorers. Lookin' good though.

LJ looks yoked. What I loathe most about the current NBA is that guys don't get enough looks. A team like the Knicks should be watching tape of every guy on every summer league and international squad and giving looks/shots to any and all guys that have even a small chance of making the roster. A guy like LJ could come off the bench right now for the lowly, depressing, gut-wrenching, soul-sucking Knicks. At least if they were doing everything they could to improve, I'd have a reason to watch outside of the one that I use which is that I'm both stubborn and stupid.

Does he still have an agent in the US as an international player?
