Been a while since I wanted a kid to get a good look from the NBA as much as LJ. Can't explain it and generally I frown on early departures, but LJ seems as physically deserving as any prospect and his heart and soul exceed expectations.

I really hope he makes it in the league too. He would be a great representative of Georgetown in the NBA, and a perfect example for the program to point toward a player who was able to make it to the league from the program, which should help with recruiting. It would be a win/win for everyone involved!!

A low second round choice may not be as desirable for LJ as being able to carefully pick his spot to sign as an undrafted player.

Maybe he can get some of Gordon Heyward's minutes with the Jazz after Gordon heads to the Celtics. Anyway, extra NBA roster spots would really help guys like LJ.

Fingers crossed for LJ. I think he's got a lot more to show if he keeps putting in the work. He's a much improved player since the day he originally got to campus and I hope the work he's putting in since deciding to move on is going to end with him getting a shot at his dream job. Get 'em, LJ!

As a wizards fan, I love this. I think LJ would be a GREAT selection with their pick. Local D.C. kid, brings needed defense and potential. Plus Otto and LJ teaming up would be perfect. Also, this mock draft has LJ at 53 with the Boston Celtics. I hate the Celtics, but that would be great too. nbadraft.theringer.com/?player=l_peak

This year, their agency (which also includes Mike Higgins, a long-time agent) represents L.J. Peak (Georgetown), Malcolm Hill (Illinois), Erik McCree (Louisiana Tech) and Kendrick Ray (Kennesaw State). On our Sam Vecenie’s mock draft, only Peak made the cut, and he was the third to last selection, 58th overall. That is not unusual for the Pensacks, which makes draft night an especially wild ride. They aren’t against representing one-and-done lottery picks, and even made it into the top three with one of those players in this year’s draft, but they don’t target them. “Usually, the one-and-done types have been bought by the time they are 16, sometimes by multiple agents,” Adams says. “And we are not interested in cutting corners.” Plus, it is more fun to sit and watch the draft, wait for the phones to start ringing and then go to work for their unsung players, the undervalued assets, players with whom the Pensacks feel a kinship. “We seem to lean toward those guys who maybe people have overlooked, who aren’t knuckleheads, and who want to put the work in,” Adam says. “That is the formula that we have found works for us.”sethsdrafthouse.com/outside-the-green-room-a8ecbb0f7de7

I agree the Wiz could use a physical guy like LJ. If he makes it in the NBA it will be with defense, hustle and some drives. His shot is not NBA ready by any means. He would probably have to beat out Sheldon Mclellan.

Really want the Sixers to take him with one of their 94 2nd round picks.
