Really hope to hear his name Thursday, would be a great moment for him and his family, and well deserved.

Really want the Sixers to take him with one of their 94 2nd round picks. Don't most Sixer picks suffer season-ending injuries within one week of being drafted?

Sports Illustrated projects LJ being drafted by the Wiz in the second round.

Sports Illustrated projects LJ being drafted by the Wiz in the second round. Would be strange to see two Hoyas playing at Verizon for the Wizards. How often does that happen that you are playing in the same city and same arena that you played in college. Mark Jackson with the Knicks?

Peak is 46 on Draft Express' top 100 board! That's really impressive, he's steadily worked his way up. Guessing he must have really impressed some teams in his workouts. www.draftexpress.com/rankings/Top-100-Prospects/I would love to see the sixers give him a shot. They could really use some depth at the SG spot. I could easily seem him make their roster.

I'm pulling for the man. His game isn't ready for the NBA just yet but he's got a chance to get it there. He's a guy that has clearly improved and, hopefully, will continue to do so. I'm incredibly biased but I think he's absolutely worth taking in the second. If he can work out his shot mechanics and tighten up his handle, he can be a very solid player. Then again, I know next to nothing and am incredibly biased but I'm a big LJ fan and I believe that he would make the most of the opportunity.

Hard for me to stress how badly I want peak to be drafted tomorrow night. Sounds like he had been fighting a minor injury during all these workouts, which means teams haven't even gotten to see the extent of his athleticism on both ends of the floor.
Would be so great for our program to have him drafted as "LJ Peak, shooting guard from Georgetown University," but more importantly, would be a necessary step in providing for his family. Here's a new video/interview with peak from draftexpress. Someone will be getting a steal with this kid in the second round on Thursday.

LJ looking slim. Even with an injury, the guy's putting in the work.

If LJ goes ahead of Hart and Thornwell, it would indicate to me that his workouts were killers. Edit: Just noticed that site's prospect rankings and mock draft are different. Ranked 46, but goes undrafted, which is an odd way to see things.

It would be great if he does get picked obviously, but there would still be a lot to go right before LJ's family's financial security is in place...

For sure, but what I meant more was that leaving gtown and beginning the next chapter in his life will provide for his family, since i believe he will either make money in the nba or overseas. if marshall henderson can make $ in BAGHDAD, peak will find a way to make $ with his basketball skills.

It is odd. but I've noticed that in recent years the NBA teams draft Euros to stash over 3 or 4 year college players who are available and "ranked in the mid 40's." I know Henry Sims was on everyone's top 45 and was passed over by lots of guys who never played a minute.

Peaks has the skill set, though. He looks great shooting the ball and with his movements. I love his determination and focus. My money is on this young man. I was impressed with him from the first day I learned that Georgetown was recruiting him.

You're right in the sense of the NBA's cba but plenty(most) of 2nd round kids can negotiate some guarantees into their contracts.. For example #47Jake Layman signed a 3 year 2.5 million dollar contract that had a 2 year guarantee worth 1.5 million.. He got 600k this year & will get 900k for next season.. That type of money can definitely get you started on the right track if managed correctly.. www.hoopsrumors.com/2016/07/2016-nba-draft-pick-signings.html

I agree that mid-late second round picks are often predominantly foreign players who never make it over here. However, if you look at the mock draft, a number of players ranked behind L.J. are drafted, while he isn't. I didn't check this, but it wouldn't surprise me if L.J. is the highest rated undrafted player. Hopefully he gets picked.

So much for Wizards at No. 52 - traded pick to NOLA for Tim Frazier.
