I think the recurring groin injury is going to keep LJ from being drafted. Hollis had a groin injury or sport hernia before the draft and that hurt him.
In some sense, the whole season and JTIII fell apart when LJ injured his groin halfway through the year because he was so important to the team. It would have been nice to see what Pryor and Peak could've done if Peak hadn't been limited by his groin injury.

The good news is that LJ is getting some recognition as a pick.
I know some of these mocks are just spitballing, but Boston would not be a good landing spot. There are times when it's better to be undrafted and pick your own spot as a free agent.

Good luck LJ and Pryor. Even if it's minimal exposure in the 2nd Rd just hearing the word Georgetown certainly can't hurt....

Still here ... still waiting for peak to be drafted...
Unfortunately, I'm getting a "Hollis-type" vibe about his draft prospects tonight.

He still has a chance to make a roster and will end up playing professionally, be it in the "G-League" or overseas. I did watch to the end though hoping to hear his name.

Yes, I too believe he'll make $ playing ball somewhere, but just wanted him to get drafted tonight. Would've been so nice for him (and us!).

Did Peak sign with an agent? 😉

As good a place for him as anywhere. Don't have too much sg depth, especially now that Harden is a point guard. Eric Gordon is there and lou williams might be on the way out.

Very happy for LJ. I know it was not an ideal way to land with a team, but I have a lot of confidence that LJ will fit well in the league. He has the work ethic and skill set to make it. Good Luck LJ!

Look at the early entry undrafted players: Dozier soph, Oliver soph, Simmons freshman, Briscoe soph. What are these guys thinking? I get guys like Peak, Trimble who are three year guys and likely near a degree but this is getting to be insane.

Dumb question.
Is the contract guaranteed or a wait & see Summer league deal?

No shot at you, but it has been insane for over 20 years and even worse when High School kids could declare before even stepping a foot on a college campus. At least now they get to experience college life and a few decide to stay a little longer (Greg Monroe) leaving millions on the table.

Definitely a decent spot for LJ, although I'd doubt there's any guarantee. Note also that Houston had no picks last night with whom he'll be competing for the roster. Hartenstein, their only choice, is a Euro stash.

Playing next to Harden he'll definitely be a 3 and D guy, with extra emphasis on the D.

Once he didn't get picked up in the 1st I was hoping he wouldn't get picked in the second... I knew someone would give him a look and getting picked in the second round is the worst case scenario.
Should have a descent shot to make the Rockets roster...

Rockets are in the Vegas Summer League.First game is two weeks from tonight (NBA-TV?). Let's at least have some at-home cheers for LJ.
