It will be I interesting to see if ESPN will do a piece on how the ACC has utterly failed in this tournament similar to the one they did on the Big 12 last year. I'm assuming they will remain hushed. Unfortunately the two standbys, Puke and the Cheaters, are going to win so it is no big deal. I do love how that conference has done so far.

I've been watching Michigan play a lot this season. One of my childhood buddies is a Michigan alum. I love the way they play and how skilled the team is. All 5 players on the court can score at all 3 levels. They are all multi-skilled. I have concluded that JT3 should just follow John Beilein around during the spring & summer and offer and pursue the kids he does. Wilson is a RS kid for them & Wagner was a spring time signing in 2015.. Imagine that.. It's how you build a program. No option left unchecked. No stone unchanged! If you're a high major, the RS rule is to your advantage. That rule only hurts low & mid major programs. There are plenty of gems to be found late in the spring if the coaches want to do the heavy digging.

Watching the tourney(Mich, St Mary's,AZ) reveals how manny good foreign players there are that could have easily fit into the Gtwn system--would seem to be a natural for gtwn-seems like an obvious fail on the staff's part

After the NCAA lined up Nova-Wisco, Louisville-UM, Kentucky-Wichita State, and Kansas-MSU, what do you do for an encore?
Match-up Duke with a team making its first appearance in 13 years of course.

True, though that game is being played in South Carolina. Combine that with the fact that no one likes Duke (their own fans excepted), and it could be an interesting game. Maybe Frank Martin trips Grayson Allen from the sideline and the ensuing reaction breaks the Internet.

I love watching Fox play for Kentucky. What a Cram he had going down the lane.

Anybody think there should have been a call on Wichita State's second to last shot (the Monk "block")? Perhaps I'm blinded by dislike of Kentucky, but the side angle looked to me like he got wrist. No griping though, so maybe not.

No griping though, so maybe not. It looked like he crashed into his arm after the release but the shooter didn't even notice. Overall it was a poor decision to go for the 3 when all you needed was a one to tie and two to win. Drive and get a layup or get fouled. I've seen that a couple times this tournament where Thur go for the 3 and hero ball when all they needed was one point to tie and two to win.

Also, Duke and Carolina are playing the same venue so there will be a substantial number of each team's fans pulling for their other's opponent.

I love watching Fox play for Kentucky. What a Cram he had going down the lane. If Fox can develop his outside shot, he is going to be a really good pro. He reminds me of Wall with his combination of quickness and length. But Fox has a good 3 inches on Wall- which makes him even tougher to stop at the rim, and allows him to be more disruptive on D. Wall could not really shoot in college either, but he has really improved - especially this season, making him one of the best PGs in the league. Fox has a lot of that same potential. His shot does not seem deeply flawed mechanically, he probably just needs some really good professional fine tuning from a good shooting coach, and then a ton of reps. the team that drafts him will probably need some patience - it will take him time to get stronger and develop the shot. But in a couple of years, he has the potential to be a star NBA player. He also seems like a real bright, engaging kid. I can't ever bring myself to root for a coach Cal team, but Fox is likable enough that at least he mitigates some of the Cal factor for me.

I am SHOCKED that this was permitted one ESPN.com. So happy to see only one left. Would have loved to see UNC lose as well.

Minimal fouls called on UNC in the second half. And that play at the end? I am all for no-calls and not having a foul call determine a game, but if the refs don't want to call the foul there, they have to call the travel. The kid took like 4 steps...

I saw somewhere that they counted and it was 5 steps. That was a HORRIBLE no-call. I could understand about not calling a block or charge on the play, but he walked halfway back to Chapel Hill.

It's only being played in South Carolina because the NCAA pulled all its games from North Carolina in the wake of the bathroom ban bills. This game would have been played in North Carolina otherwise. There is some irony there.
