I've been going to Gtown games at MSG for the Big East Tournament for a long time, and I'm usually pleasantly surprised by the number of Hoyas fans in attendance. I can't remember a game with less Gtown fans than tonight. Most students and alums have obviously thrown in the towel.

Nah dude, you're just a clown. Straight up. Been following your BS all season. You and guru actively root for this team to lose just so you can show up and push your agenda. Whether III gets fired or not, you two were embarrassing, and you made this board a straight up cesspool Somewhere between eagle54 and hoyalove4ever is a normal human being. Perhaps, like between John and Jack DeGioia. Let's see which shows up this weekend to handle business.

Eh, edited because I'm bad with technology, but Bobby Bancroft made notes on the postgame per twitter. JTIII dodged big-picture questions on the direction of the program and when pressed on when it'd be time to discuss, he said "not now." Why did he "dodge" them? Just lost a heartbreaker in the BET, he answered just what I would expect.

Rafferty commented on Govan "lollygagging " on D. Rarely do announcers call out crappy effort like that. I thought it was Hayes. But it could have been both! The specific comment on "lollygagging" instead of getting back on D was directed at Hayes late in the game by Bill Raftery. Not sure who Rafferty is, but here's one in sports.

No, the act that is old is your obsession with Martha's Vineyard. Who cares if he vacations there every summer? The recruiting rap is a little specious when you actually examine it. You can certainly criticize whether he has done a good job putting together the pieces needed, and/or developing the players and the schemes. But the '14 and '15 classes were top 25 or 30 classes when they came in. Jagan may end up a solid player, although certainly hard to see him as a star; Rodney was a big piece (of a bad team), although getting him for only one season certainly diminishes the value of his recruiting. And Waters was a big win for this class. So the effort on its face is certainly productive enough. Have you been? Beautiful. If he stays, JT3 needs to be more visible on the recruiting trail from March to September, not just his assistants. Check recruiting threads to see posters complaining about the lack of reports by tweeters/bloggers/"gurus" re: JT3 at summer basketball events when compared to the usual suspects. He needs to outhustle, outwork every other HC. Be all over the place. Perception becomes reality. If you are the head of losing program, no wants to hear about any vacation exploits whether real or not. What they want is for the leader to be focused on righting the ship and see steps toward that goal happening thru the off-season with the hope that an more focused, off-season regime will lead to more "W"'s

Just lost a heartbreaker in the BET, he answered just what I would expect. He lost how many games in a row and then a play-in game as the second to last seed in the conference? How bad of a heartbreaker is that? He should be prepared for that type of questioning especially after his last press conference being shut down by the SID.

No one is holding their heads high after how this season has ended with the worst winning percentage since the 1970/1971 season And with a question mark as the future.

This is the current day version of GU Hoops so need to accept it. If not, you'll be told on this board you are a "clown" and not a fan of this program.

That simply isn't happening these days.

I thought there would be a ton of empty seats tonight, but the St. John's people showed up in a big way. There seemed to be a lot more tonight than a couple of years ago when they actually made the NCAA tournament. Will be interested to see if they show up tomorrow or if they get dwarfed by Villanova fans.

Well, that was the wildest atmosphere for an opening round game between two teams going nowhere that I've ever seen. Since things seemed cursed from the start, I'd much rather go down after emptying the tank. Can't fault the effort. The lack of ball handlers, the insane turnovers, and the brutal free throws did us in. That said, Chris Mullin turned a small pushing and shoving issue into something much bigger by screaming "F you" to every Georgetown person he could find. It almost got real ugly on the court, and it was starting to get ugly in the stands. I long for the old days too, but all those coaches knew when they needed to calm things down, not throw gas on the fire. Fights are one thing, but brawls are something much worse. Mullin didn't seem to know or care what his responsibilities were at that point. Fox Sports is framing the scuffle as the Hoyas season long frustration boiling over and the players sticking up for JTIII SJU collectively was more fired up after the scuffle than we were - based on what i saw in the building. In my opinion Mullin shld have been tossed. Somehow of course pne of our assistants was also Td up. Even when we have momentum we dont have momentum. Shocking.

When do you think an announcement will be made about JTIII's future? Who knows with this crew as there is no one captaining this ship. I laugh that everyone said this season would be the pivotal year after last year and are now saying it again about next year. Maybe DFW is right that Jack DeGioia will step up and take control. I just haven't seen that in the past but could be surprised. I think they'll have to get something out by early next week.

Where do you get that from? That is ridiculous speculation? Mods? Do you read the board and the things that are posted about why we keep the coach? Hint, it's not winning games. We seem to think we are the clean program and those that beat us are doing things against the rules. I don't think St. John's is dirty nor do I think any other team in our league is. Somehow we had several pinning the troubles with one player's incident at Creighton on that program when that type of thing could happen anywhere. If it repeats then you have a problem but we should be careful throwing stones. Eagle - yes, I've seen that some people here argue we should keep jtiii because he runs a clean program. Personally I'd like me school to run a clean program - kill me. But I'm well documented in the "move on from jtiii camp". I just don't hate the guy and his family like some here. And I don't know how in the world that your statement is supportive of you making a (as far as I'm aware) completely baseless claim that Mullin is running a dirty program. And frankly I'm upset the Mods didn't call you on it. If that statement was made at our program the Mods would have deleted I bet. Now I see you are in an argument with another poster - my guess, you aren't worth any of our times.

I was inferring that by the fact that many of our supporters seem to think we run a clean program and that's more important to winning at these other programs insinuates everyone else is not. Meaning we don't win because others cheat. It wasn't meant to call out St. John's program as being dirty. Sorry for your confusion.

A lot of the posters who made that statement have either joined the change camp or stopped posting and have become lurkers in hopes that JTIII will turn it around.

Why so you can tell me everything is fine? Give me a break and get a clue. I'll bounce when this program can come remotely close to living up to what it's supposed to. I'm not a fan of Georgetown because I'm not going to just accept this. Follow sports much or just in this insulated bubble? Nah dude, you're just a clown. Straight up. Been following your BS all season. You and guru actively root for this team to lose just so you can show up and push your agenda. Thanks for your posts. Appreciate you following my BS all season. I've enjoyed yours tonight.
