Speaking of repeating imaginary raps over and over again. This act is past old. But you like it... Are you going to Nantucket this Season? No, the act that is old is your obsession with Martha's Vineyard. Who cares if he vacations there every summer? The recruiting rap is a little specious when you actually examine it. You can certainly criticize whether he has done a good job putting together the pieces needed, and/or developing the players and the schemes. But the '14 and '15 classes were top 25 or 30 classes when they came in. Jagan may end up a solid player, although certainly hard to see him as a star; Rodney was a big piece (of a bad team), although getting him for only one season certainly diminishes the value of his recruiting. And Waters was a big win for this class. So the effort on its face is certainly productive enough.

Rarely does one ever hear "lollygagging" in any context these days. I think I was 10 when that term was last in vogue.

Rafferty commented on Govan "lollygagging " on D. Rarely do announcers call out crappy effort like that. And Rafferty tries not to call out much as negative in a good way (not like Dicky V.) and really doesn't call it out on Georgetown from my experience so you know it's bad when he does.

Stop with the millionaire lifestyle when you are failing so badly if you do care. It's perception and this coaches perception of urgency isn't working right now. If his recruiting classes were so good then he's failing even more as a coach.

But in defense of Hayes he got back but wondered up to the FT line which allowed the St. John's player to get behind for an easy catch pass for the dunk

Well, that was the wildest atmosphere for an opening round game between two teams going nowhere that I've ever seen. Since things seemed cursed from the start, I'd much rather go down after emptying the tank. Can't fault the effort. The lack of ball handlers, the insane turnovers, and the brutal free throws did us in. That said, Chris Mullin turned a small pushing and shoving issue into something much bigger by screaming "F you" to every Georgetown person he could find. It almost got real ugly on the court, and it was starting to get ugly in the stands. I long for the old days too, but all those coaches knew when they needed to calm things down, not throw gas on the fire. Fights are one thing, but brawls are something much worse. Mullin didn't seem to know or care what his responsibilities were at that point. Fox Sports is framing the scuffle as the Hoyas season long frustration boiling over and the players sticking up for JTIII

Mullin cleaned house when he took over the St John's program. His roster is all first/second year players. With Hayes being a 5th year senior, JT3 started assembling this roster 6-7 years ago. Can't think that way as he may be running a dirty program by all accounts from our fanbase and we are not. Where do you get that from? That is ridiculous speculation? Mods?

Perception can be reality and the way this team's urgency year round is handled is poor when you combine that with these results this is what you get.

If he stays, JT3 needs to be more visible on the recruiting trail from March to September, not just his assistants. Check recruiting threads to see posters complaining about the lack of reports by tweeters/bloggers/"gurus" re: JT3 at summer basketball events when compared to the usual suspects. He needs to outhustle, outwork every other HC. Be all over the place.

Do you read the board and the things that are posted about why we keep the coach? Hint, it's not winning games. We seem to think we are the clean program and those that beat us are doing things against the rules. I don't think St. John's is dirty nor do I think any other team in our league is. Somehow we had several pinning the troubles with one player's incident at Creighton on that program when that type of thing could happen anywhere. If it repeats then you have a problem but we should be careful throwing stones.

I'd be interviewing people tomorrow. How do you lose to these guys twice. These players certainly don't want to show up for this coach and this coach can't get out of his own way. Dude. Shut up. I've been a faithful member of this board for over a decade, and I'm just so sick and tired of reading your drivel. You and guru are literally cancers to this board. Hoyatalk will be a much better place without your agenda. Go somewhere else. Seriously. Because you are not a fan of Gtown. And you talk like you know basketball, and you know very little of what you talk about. Just bounce. For real. If everything is so miserable like you say, stop posting here.

I'm not a fan of Georgetown because I'm not going to just accept this. Follow sports much or just in this insulated bubble?

Fox Sports is framing the scuffle as the Hoyas season long frustration boiling over and the players sticking up for JTIII I think a lot of that is true. Peak was clearly frustrated. I was in the section behind our bench, and it was real easy to read Mullin's lips. He was screaming F bombs at everybody. He was certain to get a reaction, and I'm glad we reacted. But the head coach is really not supposed to be wildly escalating these things. They can get real ugly.

Been following your BS all season. You and guru actively root for this team to lose just so you can show up and push your agenda. Whether III gets fired or not, you two were embarrassing, and you made this board a straight up cesspool

I have no agenda other than being successful so I can get back to having hope and enjoying college basketball. I root for one team and it's this one. Sorry if you don't like the reality of the situation but my guess is you are going to see a lot more of me in the form of others on this board unless fans just quit which many have. That's actually much worse for this but would leave you and your buddies to debate what went wrong in a BE play-in game for next several years. You may get your wish.
