If JT3 is staying, I hope he is camped outside the Waters' home with Iverson.

It appears that NC State did pretty well, given that there are no decent options available.

I have stayed out of this thread but can't help adding my 2 cents. I think those that blame this blog and student actions for Waters transfers is putting the horse before the cart. The brouhaha is a result of the Hoyas on court performance. That lousy performance came first not the brouhaha. And it's that performance that I believe convinced Waters that he didn't want to play here. Kids with Waters talent want to play on a championship team and play in the NBA. Do you really think, after what he, and all of us saw this year, that he thought we would be any better next year? Do you think he saw us wining a BE championship or going to the NCAA? Do you think he really thought his style of play would fit the JT3 system and showcase his abilities? Sorry, we give ourselves too much credit if we think our reaction to the Hoyas performance the last 2 years, rather than that performance, was what scared away Waters.

We talk about accountability, but at what point does the fanbase and Casual Hoya start to take accountability that that they're definitely involved in this downturn actively? Blaming the entire fanbase is a waste of time. That's not the part in the chain where there is control. With large groups of people, blame should go on the leadership. This also assumes Waters decommitted because of fan negativity (citation required) and that the fanbase is wrong to be expressing negativity right now (strongly disagree).

Ah yes, the old, imagine how good Georgetown basketball would be if it didn’t have fans argument. That’s a winner.

It's not the bloggers or fans or posters. It's he who must not be named and his minions and their active campaign and propoganda to get rid of the Thompson's. Those who have been here 7 plus years know who I'm taking about.

Brad Underwood is reportedly leaving Oklahoma St for Illinois after one year. One vacancy filled, another opening.

Brownell under fire at Clemson, but says he had a "productive" meeting with AD. Kiss of death. Will Wade next up?

Hope Wilson can do better than Clemson. Wouldn't appear to be a very appealing job.

Mike Hopkins to take the Washington job. That is a shocker to me.

Mike Hopkins to take the Washington job. That is a shocker to me. I just saw it and was surprised too. He had been at Syracuse for so long. I was also surprised Washington was interested given that he didn't exactly wow when he stood in place of Boeheim last year. Sounds like Boeheim isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Boeheim may still be leaving after next season. They are trending down with their probation recruiting penalties, a very mediocre season just concluded, and losing 3 and possibly 4 (if Lydon leaves early)starters. Hopkins may have looked at all of that, together with the intense fan and media pressure on the only game in town (some fans want Boeheim to resign early, one year after a Final Four appearance), and just decided to go back to the west coach with a long term deal plus the post-Romar lowered expectations. There are also rumors that the new AD wants to establish his own mark at Syracuse, and would not automatically have agreed to Hopkins as the next HC, no matter what written or verbal understanding might be in place.

Wade was a student manager at Clemson. I'm betting it would be really sweet for him to come back as head coach, depending on what happens with Brownell.
