2 games in a row where we held the ball and actually got baskets at the end. That might be the best takeaway of all.

Final Thoughts:
3rd win a row in the BE in over a 2 years. Pryor 26 pts Govan 14pts Peak 13pts
This game was much closer than it should have been, but the Hoyas hold on for the win and now have beaten DePaul the 20 out of 21 meetings. Rodney Pryor had another highlight dunk to represent the #23 well.
Final Grade:B

Played terrible and won. Got the stops and buckets down the stretch I guess thats the positive of this game besides the W. We didn't play terrible. We didn't play GREAT, but outside of the turnovers we actually played well. Depaul just played a heck of a game, and it's hard to win on the road in college basketball

Have to win games when you don't play particularly well sometimes. Finally closed out a game. Our PNR defense has been better but the trap off it almost cost us down the stretch

We shot 54% and beat DePaul by 3. Turnovers and rebounding again. Clean. It. Up. That's what I thought. Good from the field, 45% from 3, and decent FT%. But DeP 13 OR vs 5 for the Hoyas.

That would have been another hard loss to stomach, as GU outplayed DePaul in just about every facet. Stop missing FTs and giving the ball away for free, makes the game a lot easier on the heart!

Confidence has been a problem for this team all year. Wins like this one go a long way towards solidifying that.

Agreed, we had some dumb turnovers, and we left way too many points at the line...But overall, I don't think we played terrible by any means...I loved that we closed both halves....8-0 in the first half, and 9-3 down the stretch...that's the sign of a team that's starting to figure it out and turn the corner a bit...

High pucker factor. I'm glad our Hoyas ground out a win. Well done!

I like mixing it in because the bigs are terrible at hedging but no reason to extend the trap if the ball handler heads towards halfcourt. Garrett was killing us because Pryor and Cameron were trying to guard him with Peak in foul trouble. Jagan should've been in earlier to defend him.

Never seen so many lazy, sloppy turnovers in the half court offense. Rebound fundamentals sorely lacking (Reggie actually may have the best fundamentals, but has no hops!).
But to get to the NCAA's you have to gut out some ugly games. We did that tonight.
3 straight. How many if us thought that was possible 10 days ago.

That bucket came because Rodney for some silly reason left his feet, giving the doofy kid an easy lay-in....it was a perfect trap and a perfect rotation...if Rodney stands arms up, the doofy kid has nowhere to go, and he either travels or throws up a shot with very high degree of difficulty....Down the stretch, we simply had to make someone OTHER than Garrett beat us....We did that...and we won the game

If the 3 favorites win tomorrow night, we will be alone in 6th place. Tough to imagine just one week ago.

Go watch the replay...he wasn't wide open...Rodney was in perfect position and left his feet....

Any conference road win is a good win. The consequences for losing would have been tremendous and the guys made plays down the stretch to gut out a win.
Peak showed heart in the end of game situations and I really can't say enough about the defense on the last play. Great job coaching and executing in crunch time.

Definitely remains an issue but I must say Jessie's offensive board and putback couldn't have come at a better time
