All due respect to the great Pearl Washington, who will be honored during the game, time to overrun the denizens of Lower Canada Community College.

This game will be a great test of how prepared we are for the challenges that await in league play. We've gotten four straight and we are improving. I like our trajectory right now and hope we can keep it going. It'll be a tough, physical game. Hope our guys rest up, practice hard, and do well with exams this week.

Going to the game (with my kids - Syracuse fans😠to my great shame). I was there when they honored Carmelo - and Otto dropped 34 in a huge Hoya win. Hopefully honoring Pearl will end the same - maybe Rodney and LJ can go BOTH go for 30!

But enjoy the time with your kids as that time spent is what is most important.

Frazier, watch for the bottle throwing in that joint. I hope that, after the game, you get to stick it to your kids after their lifetime of doing it to you in ways completely unrelated to basketball. If for nothing else, don't you deserve this moral payback? What's the intra-family wager? There has to be one.

We are all actually pretty good about perspective, so there is only some mild ribbing before and after the game. Loser(s?) buy the pizza and beer after the game. But I can't discount eagle's "terrible father" theory!! I blame my in-laws - they live in Syracuse, and they indoctrinated my kids! Luckily my wife is not much of a sports fan, but she did not do enough to stop them! A couple of years ago I went to my first Browns game in Cleveland with my kids and my daughter's boyfriend - he is a Bucs fan, who the Browns were playing that day. On the way in a 20-something Browns fan saw the Bucs jersey, and kiddingly said "You let him wear that? Well, at least he isn't a Steelers fan". I had to point to my son next to me and admit "this one is". The fan looked at me for a couple of seconds, then shook his head and said "you are a terrible father! (then he bought me a beer). So maybe eagle is onto something.

I have never been to the Carrier Dome, so I'm admittedly looking forward to it.

Need to win this game if we are going to have a meaningful shot of making the tourney. This is approaching a must win game going into BE play.

Just the name The Pearl.. first thing comes to mind for me is Earl "The Pearl!" I always preferred "Olive Head"... I remember reading an anecdote many years ago when Washington was still playing - at a pre-game meal a teammate put olives on the end of all 5 of his fingers and yelled"look, a whole team of Pearls"!

I like that we have a full week of practice to get healthy and prepare. Should be an intense game next week, but I have to admit I like the early start, not too much time for the Cuse fans to get lathered up.

Against the 2-3 zone, which Hoya flashes to the elbow? Peak?

Against the 2-3 zone, which Hoya flashes to the elbow? Peak? Been wondering the same thing. So many options. Pryor, and LJ could live there. Jesse and Marcus should also be effective there but not sure about Jesse's passing.. But oh man if only Ike would come alive. He was born to eat up the Syracuse 2-3 zone from the elbow.
