George Muresan was at the game. His son is a Hoya walk on. That's probably who you saw. If Mr. Muresan was from Africa and 20 years younger, perhaps. Kid sat near me and my son. He's 17 yrs. old and claims to be Dikembe Mutombo's nephew. He's 7'5" and his dad said he will be joining Georgetown next season. Take it for what it's worth. I tried to Google him but didn't come up with anything. Attachments:

Am I the only one who read USC-upstate coach's comments as having some shade aimed at us. Seemed like he said I have no idea if Georgetown is any good - they just hurt us with the press because we didn't know what we were doing but I doubt that will work on a better team. Or am I being too sensitive? I read it that way too. Good. Too many inferior teams have come in thinking they have a chance to win, we've let them get comfortable, gain confidence and then are surprised when we lose or sweat out a way too close victory. I hope we press the Edited out of these teams. More dunks. More alley-oops. Embarrass them and let their coaches have sour grapes and throw shade. hm I agree 100%. That's exactly the reason why we lost to teams we should have beat easily in the tournament. When you're just better and have far superior athletes, you have to impose your will early. If you don't, you allow the opposition to gain confidence, and giving an opponent confidence is a dangerous thing.
We don't have to try to embarrass teams, but we need to take control as early as we can, to let them know they don't stand a chance of winning this game. Our style of play on both ends allowed teams to get comfortable. I like the fact that we're now trying to force tempo, and trying to create easy baskets by FORCING turnovers.

I think you're racist with associating prison with racism. You made that leap not me. Doesn't surprise anyone though as your just another Trump bigot from what I've read. Based on your grammar, you're one of those uneducated voters I've read about. . . .aaannnd they're off!

Impressed with Mosely. I did not expect him to start but I can see why he did. Good defense and poise. I really liked his passing too. It wasn't about flashy plays, he just fed the post well and kept the ball moving. I'm looking forward to how he plays against MD...but I think the Hoyas may have the pg they need. Agree. We're going to love this kid. Post entry with these kids nowadays seems like a lost art. He made a few nice post entry passes, even one from near the top of the key that was perfect.

I know the fact that he's not a big time recruit probably means he's not that good right now, but please sign me up for a 7'5" relative of Dik.

I still remember my freshman year playing intramurals vs Dik who was sitting out the project year... Is his uncle going to pay for college so that we have a scholarship for another grad stud? (ducks)

Why have we not heard of a 7'5 prospect? I heard the same thing. JT JR gave him a big hug and the kid was sitting with George Muresan in the second half. I heard he was "only" 7' 3" but the kid was clearly taller than JT JR. Also heard that he's junior in HS so he still has room to grow.

One small thought: in his limited time, I thought Agau passed really well, something we've been lacking the last few years where we suffered from below average passing. Pryor seems pretty solid on passing too.

That game was a pleasure to watch. The first five minutes were insane, and Pryor was off the charts. I now expect him to shoot 9-10 in the first half of every game.
As for the bad, Govan and Agau need to cut down on the turnovers, although I certainly think Agau's could be attributed to nerves, since he hadn't played in a regulation game for well over a year. Jessie also needs to play better d.
And oh yes, the defensive rebounding. That was abysmal. Please do better.

I got excited about Dikembe's nephew and then started to think about it. Rim protectors are still needed at the college and pro levels but is the prototypical big man, outside of the all-star caliber ones, a thing of the past now? I think it's a yes at the pro level as there are 4's and smaller 5's that can protect the rim and are mobile enough to not have to be a space eater by nature of their sheer physical size. There aren't many physically punishing big men left and the way fouls are called is quite different from the time in which a Karl Malone could be most effective. Are we there now too at the college level?
