This was McCormack’s second unofficial visit this month. He unofficially visited Georgetown on August 12. While McCormack has no timetable yet for his commitment, expect him to cut his list soon as he said, “Hopefully, I will cut it soon. That’s the plan but I’m not sure on a specific date yet. I’m not sure about a number either.” McCormack included Kansas, Duke, Xavier, Georgetown, UCLA, NC State, Georgia Tech, and Texas among the schools recruiting him the hardest on Wednesday and spoke about what he’s looking for in a school. “Definitely the relationship with coaches, being able to play through mistakes, and develop my game,” said McCormack. “Conditioning and development is important, as well as my major. I want to major in communications or journalism because I want to go into sports broadcasting. History also plays into it, as far as being a good coach and how they develop their players.” d1vision.com/david-mccormack-kansas-visit/

Would love to get a commitment from Dave...once you get on guy on the roster, he can help recruit more. Plus it helps kids know who they'd be playing with, going to class with, and living with.

At one point I think we might have been the favorite for this kid and then he got himself in much better condition and had a really big summer and his options have really opened up. You have to believe he is at least a little intrigued to have the chance to play for, and learn from, Ewing. Hope we make his final list and can get an official visit with him. Landing a player like him would show that the message Coach Ewing is selling to these kids is something that resonates with at least some of them.

He's been a top 50 guy for three years.

We don't seem to have a great track record with kids that like to tweet lists.

This one hurts. I really thought Pat would make some waves with him and I love everything about his game.

Huge bummer. Attention turns to Bates, Fleming and most importantly all of the 2019 monsters.

McCormack, who will be returning to Oak Hill for his senior year, is already focused on the upcoming season. “I want to work on everything,” McCormack stated. “My method is once you attack your body, everything gets better, so if you attack your body and get better, you will have better moves and improve your game overall, defensively and offensively.”These quotes speak volumes to me, all the schools on his list have strong conditioning & development programs.. If folks think kids aren't paying attention to this aspect of a program you're being naive.. From Lebron to Curry to KD ect. all the best players in the world are workout maniacs & it's trickled down to all levels..

Has the program not taken steps in this area of development? Did they bring on board a strength and conditioning staff??

This kinda stings, but I'm not worried at all about PE and the staff getting quality frontcourt help in 2018, 2019 and beyond to commit to Georgetown.

I'm not worried about '19, but we need bigs asap. If Jessie takes off after this year, we've got 1 legit center on the roster (Sodom) - and who knows how ready he'll be. Even if he returns, we'll still be thinner upfront with the loss of Mourning. The only somewhat likely options I see remaining in this class are Fleming and Mike Durr. All other '18 frontcourt guys are 4s or 3/4 types.

Very disappointing, and even a bit shocking to me...probably a bit of a homer response, but almost seems somewhat disrespectful to PE/Georgetown based on what I perceive they could offer this guy...Okla. St. (yeah I know one of his AAU coaches went there), NC St.? over Patrick Ewing and Georgetown? Frustrating, but move on...get somebody better...
