Georgetown just got a commitment from a 24 year old player left unsigned as a high schooler in 2010, who was a redshirt in JC, who did not make the team at NC A&T as a walk-on, and whose only competitive play in the last five years was from military extramurals. And if Tre Campbell can't turn it around, he's our option at PG. Yes, I'm concerned. Not saying you're wrong, but alternatively. Georgetown just took a guy who was missed in recruiting years ago because of his size and an injury during his post-grad year that also made him redshirt as a JUCO frosh. Now, after 4 years in the army, he's joining the team to be a mature leader who might have a decent shooting stroke and PG abilities or he might not. And we don't actually know if he's taking a scholarship yet.

He should be eligible for GI Bill benefits for school, so I'd assume yes. If he's not using a scholarship, I see no downside to this. The 247 article states he was offered a scholarship...

April Fools come early? Seeing multiple sources tweeting it. Reading he was a 2 star prospect coming out of high school, lots can change obviously given the numbers of years he's had to mature. Hopefully this isn't the mad scramble cause we the bed on 2016 recruiting.

Well if that's the case then no one should have an issue with him coming aboard. Then he is technically replacing ryian williams, right?

According to BIG EAST COAST BIAS, he is out SECOND commit in recent days:
Going out and getting a guard should come as no surprise to Hoya fans. The backcourt's looking pretty thin with the departures of Riyan Williams and D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, leaving only Tre Campbell, JUCO transfer Jonathan Mulmore and rising sophomore Kaleb Johnson as the true guards on the roster. With Mosely and now Hosch in the fold, some depth is now there as the Hoyas can now focus on their one remaining spot in their 2016 class, with a clogged up roster already in tow.

I saw this as well and assumed it was an error on mullmore

My question is does this dude have four years of eligibility or does his age prevent him from that? 4 years of eligibility left from what I read Oh Laaaawd.

On the bright side, He will definitely be too old for NBA GM's to draft..so we don't have to worry about him leaving school early. Yo this dude old enough to qualify for Medicare These types of decisions by III may age us so quickly that we all will soon qualify for Medicare.

These reports that don't include Peak as a guard are just as stupid as those that refer to John Thompson Jr as an NBA legend.

If the reports of an athletic scholarship are wrong, and this is just taking a flyer on a walk on, then sure why not. But if this is exactly as reported, jeez. Id give a coach with a better record of finding diamonds in the rough the benefit of the doubt. But with the exception of a year of Whittington, III's record is um, less than stellar.
Welcome Denzell. I sincerely hope you exceed all expectations.

He's a walk-on for us I assume? Does the Army pay for his education?
