Somebody help me out please - the local CBS station in Dallas switched to the UT-OU game after the GU game ended in regulation. I switched to the CBS Sports website to watch the OT, but it stops right at the .20 mark in OT, with GU down 2. I now know the result - but what exactly happened on that possession - down 2 with the ball? 0:18: Copeland turnover 0:16: Martin 1-2 FT, 88-85 0:03: Campbell takes a layup instead of the three, 88-87 0:02: 2-2 FT, 90-87 0:00: Campbell shot blocked at midcourt

It appeared disguised as our regular offense with Copeland driving to the basket and losing it out of bounds. If that play had developed, I'm sure it would have been awesome, impossible to call from the bench, and well worth our last timeout.

Tre l got the inbound pass from Ike a took it to half court for the shot, and it was blocked by Butler's Kelan Martin. My only issue with that play is why have Ike do the inbound pass then why let Tre take the ball up the court for the last shot? Definetly would have preferred to have put the ball in Ike's hand to decide the game over Tre's

I find this entire season exhausting. I could be fine resigned to the fact that we are not a good team and focus on other things. Then there is a 14-1 run and instead of being happy it further frustrates me. I am not trying to be negative, but this is the most talented and under performing HOYA team that I can remember. JTIII should either be held accountable or should explain how a younger team under his system takes an extra year to mature. I am simply at a loss. These late game runs validate even more that the robotic system we play is silly. When we play simple, north-south basketball, we play much better. I agree, but as a counterpoint, Butler was running us off the 3 point line at the end so getting to the basket and finishing was much easier than under normal conditions. No doubt we need more north south, but just doing more with the ball in general is badly needed.

Because they GAVE it to him, and he obviously was not aware of the score and the clock.

Because he had no sense as a basketball player and was, like most of his teammates, ill-prepared for this season and this game.

Could not agree more with Justin. I just wish the season was over. I am going to get a lot of crap from my friends at ACC and BE schools. I have noting to say but that we underachieved big time. Getting very old.

Yeah, it's probably an exaggeration, but as another poster mentioned, we just look so robotic running the offense that we almost seem to forget to go to the basket.

As a local, the contrast between what is going on in College Park v on the Hilltop is stark. Huge, enthusiastic crowds...5 star recruits visiting, the huge local and national buzz about the team, while GU is a complete afterthought. Gotta be hurting on the recruiting trail, especially around here. Definitely praying for a flameout in the NCAA for the Twerps.

Hopefully we are scouring hard trying to find a very experienced ball handler--or two--in the off-season. We need help right away.

You all have to accept that JT III's system hindered player development. Our players don't improve dribbling , running fast breaks and penetrating into the paint. Today was an example, every Butler player could dribble and penetrate into the paint without any difficulties. I can not believe how all our players regress in their basketball skills during this system. Most of these players were top 100 recruits.
