Must win IMO. Gotta show that Xavier wasn't a fluke.

Uconn has some length but not much size so Govan and Hayes should have some opportunities in the paint for sure. I haven't seen them play a whole lot but Sterling Gibbs is a talented player.

We gotta focus our defense on Gibbs and Calhoun for sure!

They will try to apply pressure. Move the ball. Limit bad shots. After winning at Xavier, the UConn crowd will not be intimidating - storm or no.

Will be at this game. So far I am 2-0 at games attended this season (Syracuse and St. John's). Anyone know some good bars me and companions can invade for a few hours before tipoff?

So the Huskies are sitting in 4th place in the AAC at 4-2 and have an overall record of 13-5 with quality wins over Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Houston and Memphis and losses to Maryland, Syracuse, Temple, Gonzaga and Tulsa. They have pretty balanced scoring with Miller, Purvis, Gibbs and Hamilton all averaging 12-13 ppg. Kenpom has them at #29 behind Florida and Michigan but ahead of Kentucky and Butler. RPI is #64 and SOS is 99. They are 1-1 against top 25 and 1-0 against top 50 teams but 1-4 in the 51-100 range. UCONN is averaging 75.4 ppg just above our Hoyas 74.1 ppg. Playing at the XL Center in Hartford which is always hostile. Game to be broadcast at noon on CBS. Should be a good one.

We gotta focus our defense on Gibbs and Calhoun for sure! So Jim Calhoun is suiting up for them now? I think we can beat him off the dribble.

Question for college basketball heads more knowledgable than myself: how does Georgetown match up against UConn? I didn't see any tiny guards on their roster which is cause for celebration but besides that? I know they have Sterling Gibbs but I'm sure DSR has card after playing each other so much.

From what I know, they get out and run with Calhoun and Gibbs. Get them in the half court and we can stop them. Their bigs are allegedly not that great.

I'm unfortunately forced to watch a lot of UConn. They are wildly inconsistent. They get out and run well, but their offense is a bunch of disparate pieces that don't always gel well. Shonn Miller, the grad student from Cornell, is super efficient offensively. Daniel Hamilton can get out of control and flusters pretty easily. He is prone to turnovers. Defensively, they are pretty good but take a bit of a step back because Brimah is out so they lose their best rim protector. The good news is that they don't create a lot of live ball turnovers. This one could go either way depending on which Georgetown team shows up and which UConn team shows up.
