Despite the angst our young team gave us today I will be in the building on Tuesday. I'm not quite ready to jump ship on this team after one game.

Way to not show them anything on tape, while getting some extra game time experience!
*I will stay positive pregame*

After Game 1 Extremely Low expectations for this game. Things I'd like to see, better defense all around. Better communication, help defense, some actual boxing out. Maybe some zone or pressure off of made baskets. On offense, I'd like to see us feed Govan in the post more, let him get comfortable on the block so we have somewhere to go when things get tight. Our vets need to play better, with some urgency like every game is the last of their career. Peak and Copeland need to be aggressive, DSR can't wait until the second half to show up, he's literally the only guy we can't afford to play without. Everyone else gets a short leash for uninspired play.

I'm sure will play up to the opposition on Tuesday (right?). A few positives: (1) We usually play up to the competition. I don't see why this would be any different. (2) Overall, the team played really badly. We know from last year that this unit can do better. (3) Paul White might help a bit. I think Cameron's minutes likely came from White, and White is a better defender. If we win Tuesday, then suddenly all is forgotten about today. I'd prefer to take that approach than the alternative.

Yep, I think the players and the coaching staff were ready to play Maryland since before the season and forgot about Radford, even though the pre-game interviews would have you believe otherwise. I want to see more pressure on the ball. I thought we were going to see that today. Instead, we let them play with the ball. The few times we pressure the ball, it worked. It looked like JT3 didn't want to be unfair. Ming boggling!

Davis joins a long list of unknown or relatively unknown players who have made their name by having huge days against JT3-led GU teams. You can expect to hear his name tied to this game the rest of the season. On the bright side, Maryland ans Duke do not have unknown players, just a bunch of McD's...

Heard he chose Georgetown over Harvard. I believe I was told he was Cambodian but don't know if that's true or not. I hope that the Radford loss fires up the team. Furthermore, I have a feeling that DSR and LJ are going to get after it on Tuesday

Meanwhile , if you read the Washington Post, they are already national champions.

The Twerps are , regrettably deep with talent. And they have it throughout the lineup..guard, forward and maybe center..depending upon how long it takes Diamond Stone to live up to the hype. We can only beat them if we play our absolute A game. Trimble , Suilemon and the transfer power forward from Ga Tech can play. Layman is no superstar, but he is 6 9 and can shoot the three. They have a couple guards on the bench who can score and then there is Stone..who is probably the wild card. DSR has to get 20 and Copeland has to really ball out, like the lottery pick everyone says he is. Kills me to think that they are so loaded and possibly the place local talent wants to go again, after we stomped them out the past several years.

I'm going to say that JT3 is playing rope-a-dope with Maryland by losing to Radford... yeah, that's the ticket...
