I love the debates between posters as to ceilings and floors. We really don't have a clue.

I love the debates between posters as to ceilings and floors. We really don't have a clue. You're right, we should just stop discussing the potential of any and all recruits. The recruiting forum should only include discussion of recruits after they have finished their college careers. Only then can we have an accurate discussion about their ceilings and floors.

Not necessarily - all we can discuss is their ceilings and floors within the Hoya system and the Big East Conference!

Well... guess he may not be down to a final 3 schools after all. Ahh... There's a link embedded in the tweet that shows a list of teams that came to Simeons open gym.. By "in" he means in to watch. They might be "in" as far as schools he's considering but that's not what that tweet is referencing.

That's a protected account so we can't see it. What's it say?

Gonzaga still strong but distance will help us here. His Dad is a coach and wants to see his kid play. Push really hard and we can land him.

He's definitely keeping his options open..
I've come to the conclusion that he favors a "larger" school environment.. Both Illinois & Oregon were high on his list previously..
Oh well, as the late great Yogi Berra famously said "it aint over, till it's over"

Have read at several sites that we were coming after him hard, but after an on-campus visit and a follow-up visit in Chicago immediately after, he brought Iowa St in to the mix and now FSU. Either he's not interested or he's not really feeling the love from us.

That's not the case at all. For him it's about fit and relationship to the coaches. Simeon is a feeder school for Illinois so no surprise there. Gonzaga is there because of Jeremy Pargo. Iowa State is there because of Daniyal Robinson. Florida State is sniffing around because of Dennis Gates. We're there because of Taveras.

Presumably he wouldn't be seriously considering Georgetown and Gonzaga if a larger state school environment was a requirement

Yeah I see this as more of his AAU program is giving face time to all its friends in the college coaching world to give him options.
