Wonder what that's about? Speculation abounds on the PC forum that some players are unhappy with Ed Cooley's "hard ass" methodology of coaching, which has led to some transfers, including Chukwu. This is being voiced more in terms of unhappiness with the players rather than with Cooley.

Much like Markelle Fultz with Kentucky, I hope JT3 doesn't waste his energy recruiting against Texas Pan American.

Would be a 21-year old soph by the time he suited up in 2016-2017, with a year practicing in the system. Could do worse than a 6'11" 250 pound experienced backup for a few years. Would be a nice big body to bang on Govan in practice. If you're going to take a chance with the 12th or 13th schollie, take a chance big.

Boston College, Georgetown, Clemson as well as possibly staying at Florida? We are pre-season Top 15 vs. 3 other schools outside of the Top 50, to say the least. One is going to the NCAAs and the others are not. The question is what does he want for his graduate season (plus a graduate diploma): lots of PT somewhere else and maybe go to the NIT, or having to earn PT to be a part of something special next year all the way to late March/early April?

Eli Carter isn't good. He's a chucker who can't shoot. I'd honestly rather have our thin back court than play him meaningful minutes.

Granted, his shooting percentage hasn't been great, but the kid can score. He averaged 15 ppg as a sophomore at Rutgers and is a good ball handler. I certainly would take him for a year. He may be visiting later this week.

After this year, we know we lose DSR, and my guess is that we lose at least one but probably two of the sophs. We need to win this year and having Carter certainly wouldn't hurt.

Good points, B&G. Next year is our best chance at a real run, so considering we have a spot available and a player who won't be here past next year, it makes a lot of sense. I would prefer to have a quality shooter but with our lack of depth at the guard position, beggars can't be choosers.

Eli isn't the same player as before the broken leg. I still say take him if he wants to come but I would be okay if he chose Clemson or BC.

He may be visiting later this week. He scored a lot at Rutgers because well, it's Rutgers they have nobody else. His field goal percentage is more important because he will gets less looks at Georgetown. He's never shot better than .41 percent which is horrid. His 3pt percentage is also suspect. Even his best year at .35% is worse than DSR, Copeland, paul white, the Campbell. Last year he shot 30% which is Aaron Bowen level. He also has a high turnover rate for someone who isn't a point guard. and he's a very undersized shooting guard. I would rather move Peak or kaleb johnson to shooting guard to maintain length and rebounding then have him use up minutes at the 2. He is not a distributer, doesn't have speed, and isn't a sniper 3pt shooter so I think he is a bad fit for our team. His percentages are really concerning because what we need is a guy who can come off the bench and score with a high percentage not jack shots up.

In fact, next season, there are no meaningful minutes for him. He will be a role player. Can he handle that? That is the key. But, it's his only chance to go far in the NCAAs.

He is not a distributor, shoots a low percentage from 2 and hasn't shown consistency from 3 and is undersized and turns the ball over. Even playing him 10 minutes a game is too much IMO because it takes away minutes from Peak, Kaleb johnson and Tre Campbell. If he's just happy to be here and sit on the bench then it's the equivalent of being a walk on or student manager which I'm sure is not what he is looking for.
