I definitely think the staff should stay on any other openings. If Donovan leaves Florida and there are any options there, I think that would be worth exploring. At this point, I highly doubt Dickerson would come to Georgetown, but if we had the open scholarship anyway, I would consider taking him but a guard would be higher priority if we can get one.

I would take Eli Carter in a second. Florida transfer Elijah Carter has plenty of suitors.
The 6-foot-2 guard from Paterson, N.J., told SNY.tv that St. John’s, Seton Hall, Georgia Tech, Clemson, N.C. State, Georgetown and Nevada have contacted him or people close to him.Looks like the staff may still be searching for 2015... Interesting for sure. Carter hasn't been a particularly good player at either Rutgers or at Florida. Yes, he averaged 15 ppg at Rutgers as a sophomore, but he was a high volume shooter on a bad team. He shoots relatively low percentages from the field and has a poor assist/turnover ratio. I'd take him as a combo guard able to give 10-15 mpg off the bench, but my guess is by transferring, he's looking for more than that.

I’d take him, why not?
He was injured for most of his time in Florida but he has shown the ability to take and make big shots. He’s not a bad shooter he just takes Bad shots that Hurt his percentages imo. He goes into gunner mode here he’ll be sitting next to David Alllen so I have no worries...

I agree there is no real harm but he takes A LOT of bad shots. That didn't change in Florida where he didn't have to be a high volume shooter.
I don't recall seeing him be much of play maker or at any point stand out defensively.
We could use the depth and your right no long term harm, I am just not a fan of him as a player or being his third college.

He averaged 8 shots a game in 24 min at Florida and 12 shots a game in 28 minutes at Rutgers. I wouldn’t be doing cart-wheels if he came but he would be good for depth and he can knock down shots from the outside when in rhythm

Basically he's a gunner who shoots a low percentage from everywhere and he's a shooting guard in a point guard's body. I wouldn't want him out there, even off the bench. He would make the backcourt shorter as a shooting guard and he would just jack up ill advised shots. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/eli-carter-1.html

That Florida team was filled with Brick-Layers and he might have been the worst. To be fair to him, he missed a season with a Broken leg. Then he hurt his foot early this season missed 5-6 games, tried to play on it while it was injured and was mostly awful. He has had big games in his career,, and he’s also laid a lot of eggs, especially last year. His best season by far was his freshman year when he made 55 3’s, shot 35% from range, and 40% overall. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/eli-carter-1/gamelog/2012/For me it’s about knowing your personnel. He’s played a primary scoring role on those teams something he wouldn’t be here. Let him come off the bench and If he starts knocking down shot’s you ride the hot hand, If he’s missing you sit him down. We still have 3 guards that would most likely be slotted ahead of him. Kid would mostly be insurance, and if the alternative is an open scholly give me Carter. Plus who says Eli Carter can’t pass.. maaaaan please not Kyrie Irving..haha vine.co/v/OK7aZKirqiW/embed

Weiss actually backed off of the reported move to UConn by Gibbs, within the past two hours. Gibbs himself has denied that he has settled upon a move to Storrs.
So much for that breaking news. . . .
