Almost certainly a walk on spot for a local kid who is a good student, but he's tall and it means his dad will come to our games so I am fully in support. Gheorge remains a very popular presence at Wizards games.

Nice call, YaBoy, you were all over this one. Figured once Ohio State started offering a bunch of other guards these past few days, the Neal ship had sailed.

That is a great read. Really fair take and probably the most comprehensive assessment of the issue I've seen. People want to blame one aspect but the problem is multi-faceted.

Had to see that at least someone was leaving as VCU was one over the scholarship limit entering the offseason and still pursuing transfers and 2016 recruits. Now with 2 players transferring they have a scholly available. This transferring epidemic and coaches changing jobs has gotten ridiculous.

This transferring epidemic and coaches changing jobs has gotten ridiculous. Adjust or be left behind. Even Duke has adjusted and embraced the one-and-dones and the transfers in and out. JT3 and staff should be thinking of the transfer market to get some experience (instead of just frosh) when the rising junior class leaves en masse after graduation... 7 players as it stands or maybe 6 if White gets the medical redshirt or maybe 5 or 4 if LJ and/or Ike have spectacular junior seasons or... The fact is the team needs balance and JT3 could really benefit and balance the classes with the transfer market and graduate players going forward.

The fact is the team needs balance and JT3 could really benefit and balance the classes with the transfer market and graduate players going forward. Ohh I'm all for JT3 & Staff getting players from where ever they can based on the rules. I'm one of the biggest supporters of the staff going out and adding Mulmore and hopefully Pryor to the roster. My comment about epidemic of transferring and coaches changing jobs more about the overall view that the grass is greener mentality that college basketball has universally become. If a mid major underclassman has what they consider a big time year, he's hitting the transfer market so he can play at a HM program in hopes of getting the NBA's attention. IMO that's stupid and not necessary. Look at Stephen Curry, CJ McCollum, and Damian Lillard. All really good NBA players who played for MM programs and are stars in the Association. I can name plenty more. One could argue that leaving the mid major that they are on could hurt their pursuit to play in the NBA as their usage is bound to go down and role will definitely change which could effect how NBA teams view them. These kids are better off showing they can dominate where they are. If you can play, the Association will find you. Coaches as well need to stop playing musical chairs while under contract. They are changing jobs or threatening to change jobs every chance they get to hold their AD hostage for more money and when they leave like Josh Pastner and Tubby Smith, it's because the AD didn't bite. Also some of these AD's have unrealistic views of their programs and no patience and fire coaches way too quickly. The whole system is crazy with no rules. Every time a season concludes, it's like the Wild Wild West, every man for themselves. Having said all that, I think that NCAA should give the student athletes the freedom to transfer without having to sit out if their coach leaves for greener pastures with multiple years left on their contract, and the student has shown they are taking their academics seriously and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA entering their current semester. Let's all stop acting like the relationship with the Head Coach isn't the real reason why a lot of these student athletes pick their particular school and basketball program to be part of.

Had never heard of this kid before seeing this post but from watching the highlight, this is the type of PG the program needs. He looks to have the explosiveness and creativity to beat players off the dribble and get into the paint for either his shot or to feed a teammate. I don't know if the staff ever recruited this kid or not, but finding someone like this kid would be a huge get for the program and make everyone on the team better.
