Not terribly shocking, but disappointing nonetheless.

Not terribly shocking, but disappointing nonetheless. Exactly Hoyals.. We all hoped for the best but knew it was a longshot.. The kid is talented so High major programs will be calling.. I wish him the best wherever he lands P.S.- This bodes very well for AB being back next season..

I said it a year ago he would bounce but I thought everything had been smoothed over. Too bad for both parties...

Both Copeland and White are better players than him right now. Cameron will be better than him by next season. I want those guys to play the three, and the last thing I want is AB factoring into that mix. Copeland and White are both legit. They are impact players from day 1

Dismissed?
Depending on why, someone might give him a chance. But talk about squandering opportunities.

At this late stage the staff isn't going to find a better option in the '14 class

Kinda seemed like the writing on the wall based on his disappearing act from MM, not going to Korea, and missing the VCU game. Would appreciate a PM with details as well.

Disappointed, but that's life. Hope the kid recovers from this and has a nice career and great life.

I'm very surprised. Why not quietly give him some space for whatever he is dealing with? Maybe things are better when he is healthy. If there is more to the story would like a PM as well.

As mentioned above, this is not really a surprise given what happened last year. He hasn't played in almost 12 months, so this loss won't effect this year's team. The story is just too bad. However, Greg is not the first talented kid to be dismissed in the history of this program.

G'town gave Smith a shot right? Dixon @ Memphis is the best example though.. I don't know. I have no idea what he did to get outright dismissed. Georgetown doesn't dismiss a lot of players. It tends to keep things like grade issues quiet. I hope, for Whit's sake, it was something minor. And yes, if it is, he'll get another shot. If he can prove healthy. You'd think someone with one strike, then suffered a serious injury, would take this sort of opportunity more seriously.
