On the Rutgers message board they say that over 6,000 tickets were sold to the Georgetown game, but the expect less than a 1,000 to show up with the snow storm. Crazy.

They may have sold a fair amount of tickets to the game, but it doesn't mean deals can't still be had: $25 tickets are being discounted to $10, AND it $1.00 hot dog day at the RAC! scarletknights.com/

We could always tell when the snow was coming to DC area when Jackson Weaver gave the news as to whether the Rinky Dinky Day School was open or closed.

Tough to tell what affect the weather will have on the agme, being at 12pm is not a good thing for turnout since the northern part of the state is going to get slammed tonight.

In case this hasn't been posted or you missed it:
Gylvidas Biruta (6-8) -built and plays like Nate - ave about 10 pts amd 5-6 reb for the past 2 years - he would be a Jr. - transferred out of Rutgers to R.I., I think. So that helps some!

Right now radar shows rain pushing up toward New Brunswick and pushing the snow more north - so maybe it won't be so bad there - but it can aways stall.

It will turn to rain this afternoon, but then turn back to snow tonight, so I think the New Brunswick area will still get a good bit of snow, unfortunately - less than northern NJ, though.

Philly area getting rain now from the coastal storm. Some points further north and inland seeing snow from this. It is the arrival of an eastward moving storm later today (early evening) that will provide Phila and central NJ with accumulating snow. The predicted accumulation differences from south to north are pronounced: 3-6 inches in Philadelphia, 5 to 9 inches for Trenton and Bucks County. Phila gets off because the coastal storm arrives first followed by the eastward moving disturbance. It is the convergence of these two systems which will plaster New York and points northeastweard. I'll take off my amateur meteorologist hat now.

"Definitely could be an upset: I'm not even sure why but it just feels like Georgetown is due for a letdown, doesn't it? The 20th-ranked Hoyas are on a four-game winning streak heading into Saturday's game at Rutgers. No. 20 Pittsburgh lost there earlier this season. I won't be surprised if Georgetown does the same."
from CBS sports weekend look ahead.

It's highly doubtful that the attendance tomorrow will be high. The storm isn't forecast to end until the mid-morning, and the game is at noon. While it didn't snow many times when I was at Georgetown, I do remember that everybody's main focus was enjoying having no class (because it's a weekend, that doesn't really apply here) and relaxing. Except for the few die-hard fans, I don't think it will be many students' priority to get to this game tomorrow.

They should delay game until 4pm. TV commitments etc. No way they delay it because students won't come out
