6'10 260lb kid from Christ the King in NY. Rivals said we offered. Not sure if that's true but interesting.

From ESPN: At this moment, Delarosa holds just one scholarship offer from Drexel, but he’s hearing from a host of high-major programs that are all closely monitoring his progress. “I’ve been hearing from a lot of people including Notre Dame, Kansas State, Kansas, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Memphis, Stanford, Georgetown, St. John’s, Michigan State, Miami and Missouri,” he said earlier this week. “Georgetown and Pitt are probably the ones I’m hearing from the most.” insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/national/post?id=5024

Eh... he can move pretty well and have some instincts around the basket. Needs work tho. Based on this video at least....

Appears so. Good passer, lost some weight. Hope he's worked on his motor's on/off switch.

He looks absolutely terrible in those first two videos. I watched him in that tourney that Derrickson was in on tv. He looks way different now. Much thinner now I see why we are sniffing around. What I liked from him is that he is aggressive when he has the ball in the blocks and his touch is decent. I wouldnt be upset if we end up with him but I'd be shocked if he came in here and did much his 1st 2 years.

Dense, is he just another version of Hayes or is he farther along at this point? Depending upon who actually leaves, 2014 needs a contributor not a project in the post.

I say pass. We have run into trouble with guys we sign late. There's a reason nobody has taken a serious run at him.

Looks way further along but I mean watching him and Moses in high school really looks not too different, You see some skills but a lot of it is whether they will translate to the next level or will he get better. I would be willing to take a flyer on this kid just cause I was impressed that he could pass decently and had a decent enough touch around the rim. He looks like he could maybe handle being the hub of our offense. The thing is I'm sure there will be some better bigs in 2015 if we can land them. So this is one of those pivotal roster decisions.

From looking first at his old videos, and then watching him on ESPN recently this kid has really improved his conditioning and skillset. He seems to have pretty good hands and feet for someone his size. On the other hand, his body type looks like he might always be battling weight issues and not sure his slowness would mesh with the rest of our 2014 class of lean athletes. If it was up to me, I'd prefer a long athletic big who can block shots and rebound out of his area.....but I still wouldn't be terribly disappointed if we ended up with him.

I agree with Dense, he's more skilled than Hayes but doesn't have his upside or athleticism.. He did hit a baseline jumper from about 18 ft in the game Dense was referring to.. When news 1st came out that the staff was showing interest again I hated it but after seeing him play, I think it's worth a shot.. The thought of going another class without a post big is ridiculous to me.. Unfortunately there aren't any post type kids left in the 2014 class that will contribute for G'town next season but they still need to get someone in here to learn the system.. If it were up to me I wouldn't bring Moses back, I'd let Smith, Hop, Hayes & the new guy man the 5 spot.. If Smith doesn't come back all the better cause that would mean more time for Hayes & the new kid.. The team needs multiple bigs so getting one in 2014 shouldn't change who they're recruiting in 2015..

Is Rawle Alkins coming with him? If so I’m in… He played really well in the Bass Pro Yaboy, definitely someone to monitor...

Great that he can pass, but for those who have seen him lately, can he shoot the mid-range jumper and can move quickly enough to defend and rebound?
We don't want to end up with another Nate that can pass, but defenses don't respect basically anywhere on the court.
