SIAP but I didn't see a thread for him
Booth goes to Mt. St. Joe's (Sims) and plays for Takeover. So far, Maryland and Rutgers have offered, but according to twitter, we offered him today as well. I think MD is recruiting him as a PG but I've seen him listed as a SG mostly.
Rutgers has made an effort to recruit DC, and Cox has ins here. He was able to recruit DCA well but now that they're wearing UA, Team Takeover is the premiere Nike squad in town. They could be players but ultimately, they're Rutgers.

Actually I read that he was more of a Terps fan growing up, after watching a guy with his same last name get drafted out of Maryland. But we all know how they've done in Baltimore since then!

blog.northstarbball.com/"Booth listed scholarship offers from Georgetown, South Florida, Maryland, Rutgers, and Seton Hall to go along with interest from Syracuse, Indiana, Villanova, Duke, and Ohio State. The rising junior said he has no favorites at this point, but noted that Georgetown is probably the school pursuing him the hardest."

Phil Booth (Team Takeover 2014) – Booth has a reputation as a shot maker and while he certainly lived up to that also showed a more complete game than I’ve seen from him before. He played at the point for long stretches and did a great job of running offense and finding shots for others. If Booth can fully transition to the point his ceiling becomes quite a bit higher as his size and shooting from the point separate him from most other floor generals. www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0721/2012-peach-jam-report-day-iii-part-b/

www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0725/phil-booth-has-schools-in-hot-pursuit-as-14-g-impresses-in-july/NBE Sports: Who has been the most creative in their communication? Booth: Georgetown has probably been the most creative in contacting me. NBE Sports: At this point, what schools are you considering that are actively recruiting you? Booth: I am really considering everyone. I have ten offers: Georgetown, Maryland, Villanova, Indiana, Seton Hall, Rutgers, St. Joe’s, Xavier, SMU [and] South Florida, but I also am being recruited by other schools such as Texas, Syracuse, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame and NC State.

Booth's Philly Connection The most interesting note of the event was the buzz around the gym surrounding Team Takeover 16's and Paul VI (VA) coach Doug Martin , who will take an assistant coaching position on Jay Wright's staff at Villanova starting this Wednesday, sources confirmed to Rivals.com. As Villanova target and Takeover ball player Phil Booth is one who will be impacted by this move, he addressed the situation. "Coach Martin's move to Villanova will impact my recruitment considering he has coached me these past two years and knowing he is a Takeover guy, that means something," Booth told Rivals.com. As his father hails from Philadelphia, the 2014 guard from Mount St. Joseph's is ranked No. 73 in the Rivals100. After recently being offered by SMU, the Larry Brown-Philadelphia connection will also impact him. "Probably so considering my dad is from Philly and we are big fans of Larry Brown," Booth said. With no current favorites, Booth is also considering Rutgers, Georgetown, Indiana, Maryland, NC State, Ohio State, Xavier, Seton Hall, South Florida and more. www.recruitscoop.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1390034

Sounds like Villanova has the inside track here. Hate that Indiana and VU have the edge on getting kids out of DC, especially since Indiana wears the three stripes.

Phil Booth - Phil Booth was his usual cerebral self for Team Takeover’s U16 team. A 6-3 combo guard, Booth played both on and off the ball. Booth can do it all on the offensive end of the floor and is a threat to score the ball from all three levels. He did a fantastic job of attacking the rim and finishing with a soft floater in the lane. It’s that type of skill and basketball IQ that makes him so coveted by numerous college coaches. While perhaps slightly undersized, with his scoring ability we see Booth playing off the ball at the two guard spot at the next level. terpsinsider.com/blog/2012/08/01/recap-of-the-takeover-aau-tournament/
