What the HELL is wrong with you people? Anyone here that said "go cuse" or "cuse won, good for us" simply isn't a real Georgetown fan.
Who gives a crap about seeding -- seeding in which we already control our own destiny -- enough to root for that crap in lower Canada? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

Lville losing means that we are that much closer to a clinching a double bye. Even 4-1 at this point, and likely 3-2 gets us there. I think that is a big deal for a young team, and for our seeding in the tourney. I doubt any one was rooting for Syracuse, but we don't have to spend every discussion on the board talking about how we are going to win every game. In fact, you know full well that in the upcoming weeks there will be whole threads devoted to our seeding. Lighten up.

The end of the KS/KSU game was painful. Like to think we have more poise than that (although they did get all of their players in the game when they wanted)

I don't mind threads devoted to our seeding (well, I probably will say something about superstition and hubris, but in general, I am not for restricting that discussion), I'd just prefer not to see said discussions occurring in a game thread about our next opponent. I'm not sure how discussing the verboten nature of rooting for Syracuse has anything to do with discussing whether we will or will not win every game. I don't think it's lost on those of us who say "never root for Syracuse," that a Loovul loss last night is to our BET seeding benefit. On the other hand, Pitino still has to go to the Carrier Dome and it's unlikely he'll win there in the last game of the season, so in the larger view, I think a Cardinal win last night would have been better. On the other other hand: NEVER ^#$&^$%^% ROOT FOR SYRACUSE! And yes, Ranch, I am a pretty gorram awesome fan. Thanks for noticing. (EDIT: I forgot to add kissyface. It is Valentine's Day, after all)

Understood. But, this is a games of interest thread devoted to how games between other teams interest us. IMO, that was a pretty big game last night. As of right now, even if we go 3-2, Lville would have to go 5-0, USF would have to go 5-1 and Cinci would have to 5-1 to overtake us. And, they all play each other. I like our chances.

SFHoya99 - the greatest fan of all. How can you stand it? Thank you, Ranch. What would I need help standing, though? I don't understand - I AM the greatest fan, I mean since 2007 came down from his whole 'nother level. Why would that be something I can't stand? The special 10,000 post clubhouse is extravagantly decked out -- I am currently ensconsed in velvet -- while beautiful women serve me top flight bourbon and televisions play the greatest games of Hoyadom on an infinite loop. You're the one who rooted for Syracuse just in case we go 2-3 over our last five and we might have to play an extra game in the BET! There's a little orange dot on your soul today. I don't know how you can stand it.

Add me to the list of NEVER rooting for Mr. Magoo and his Orangmen ... yes, they are still the Orangemen and Tampa Bay is still the Devil Rays. All this politically correct nonsense can kiss my verticle smile. But never EVER root for Cuse.

The more games Syracuse wins during the regular season, the more satisfying their flame-out in the tournaments will be. They basically locked the Big East conference title up with their win against us, so really who cares if they drop a game or two? Better for us if they can make our path to a double bye a little easier, and possibly their route to the BET championship all the more difficult by bumping Louisville down a few seeds. Syracuse losing that game wouldn't have really hurt them and would have made things more difficult for us. I'd rather watch Syracuse fan's start to feel invincible with only one regular season loss and then get exposed in the tournament and watch it all coming crashing down.

I'll still never root for Syracuse ever, but sleepy has his eyes on the delicious schadenfreude prize here. In fact, you remind me of the father bull from that famous story. You know the one...father and son bull are looking down at a pasture full of cows. Son says, "Dad, let's run down there and $%&* one of those cows." Dad says, "No, son. Look...Eric Devendorf is already $%&*ing them all."

I cannot wait for Syracuse to be the first 1-seed to lose to a 16-seed. Cannot wait.
