'14 and think Adonis Thomas type. Kid can score from 3pt range, mid range, slash, pass, defend, and plays PG a lot for Houston Select 15U team. He's a Kyle Anderson type of fit--but a better athlete then Kyle and a little smaller then Kyle--Justise goes about 6'6. Son of former Houston Cougar Ricky or Rickie Winslow who was a FR on team that Hoyas beat for the National Title.

Ricky Winslow was somewhat of an Adonis himself. If I remember he was an undersized PF with a Corey Maggette body-type.
What are the chances that Ricky Winslow, who the Hoyas beat in '84, sends his son to georgetown?

Landscape of CBB has changed quite a bit and that's all that matters and former players often value what Georgetown can offer their son. Afterall Doc Rivers kids went elsewhere and Patrick Ewing's son went to Indiana over Georgetown initially, etc...

The comparable wouldn't have been PE2 going to Indiana. The comparable would have been PE2 going to North Carolina or Villanova. The question isn't whether Winslow would send his son to a school other than Houston. The question is whether he would send his son to the school that kept him from getting a National Championship.

He and his team should've won then. I dont' think this matters and Pat would've looked at those schools if they recruited him--he chose Mike Davis over Esherick. Which proves he was highly intelligent because I'd have gone to Shenandoah before playing for Esherick.

2nd part of July Evaluation Period started today and so far Hoya related notes I've got from Vegas (17U in Orlando starts tomorrow)
III is in Vegas right now and watched Kyle Anderson's game(s).
Nate Britt had Maryland tracking him but expects Duke/UNC to be on him hard according to his HS Coach Steve Turner--mentioned Nova/Georgetown/UVA, etc........
Hoyas mentioned with a kid on Eric Gordon 16U team--Zak Irvin a 6'5 wing who has a lot of Big 10 interest.
Stephen Domingo is out with a hairline fracture and can't play.
Hoyas watched Robert Upshaw play against Dvuantes Smith Rivera who joined the ALWAYS overrated Indiana Elite team and Upshaw intimidated them as his team won and DSR had 6 pts in defeat. DSR playing with a lot of guys who like to put up shots--Yogi Ferrell, Jeremy Hollowell, and they've laid an egg. Why these guys get hyped after seeing them for a few years--names change, hype doesn't and neither do underachieving results. Crean has Indiana set up to stay at or near bottom of Big 10.
Update today with Semaj Christon had Xavier as his leader and Providence, Illinois, and Georgetown as others involved.

I was in Orlando and then had to return for a family emergency so going to miss the Showcase--at least most of it, saw a few days of young kids playing (young TakeOver team won over BABC in Final this morning). Usually III has shown up to this tournament but I wouldn't be shocked to see him trail Kyle Anderson to Phoenix for the Nike Event.
III was at Kyle's games and Nate Britt's games today.
Georgetown Assistant was at Semaj Christon's game
Jody Demling said all of TJ Warren's favorites were represented in Orlando.

III is in Orlando and was watching Nerlens Noel play
NBE update says that Georgetown, MD, UVA, and Nova are recruiting Nate Britt the hardest and has offers from all 4.
NBE also says that Georgetown is the leader/favorite for Kennedy Meeks, a 6'9 280 lb C/PF in '13 class. He does NOT have a Hoya offer but is scheduled to visit in early August according to Meeks.
Georgetown was tracking '14 Massachucetts big man Noah Vonleh in Vegas.
Hoyas also are following Chris McCullough, a 6'9 combo forward from NYC out in Vegas and he's blowing up this Summer. class of '14--which is shaping up to be one of the next "super classes" with star players at each position.
Craig Victor, another '14 player mentioned Georgetown, Syracuse, and UNC as recruiting him the hardest. Victor is a 6'8 forward from Louisiana.
I thought Kyle Anderson and NJ Playaz still had tournament out in Phoenix-but he recently stated that he's glad AAU is over--so maybe they are done? Not sure-but not reason to not believe him-and if that's case--means III will be tracking others the next 6 days.
Brandon Bolden not even playing? Nobody has mentioned him at all with Nike Team Florida (Al Freeman is playing) but haven't heard Bolden mentioned as playing with team. That would mean he's basically taken the entire month of July off.
