I don't mean to be too harsh on Jason but he has played terrible in stretches. His shot looks awful - he seems to have forgotten that he was deadly just inside the three point line earlier in the season. He's a turnover machine. He does look to be trying on defense but he just isn't very good at staying in front of his man. But he has been pretty good at taking the ball to the hoop. Anyway, my point was that there are minutes for Vee there, which it seems like everybody agrees with. Not to just keep him happy, but to help the team. Which would seem to be best for all parties. So very curious as to why he hasn't played the past two games.

wahoo... I don't disagree with the need for Vee getting minutes. I was only trying to say why I could understand why he didn't get them tonight in a game that we pretty much had to have on the road and struggling. I could see how a coach would choose the more experienced player who had had significant minutes against the same opponent before.

I get that. I just think that makes JTIII seem really foolish or shortsighted. Or both.

Once again, Vee made the most of his few minutes vs Nova. Comes in toward the end of the first half and immediately hits a crucial 3. I can't believe how well he is shooting. I looked it up on (Hoya Saxa's Front page has a link to Stats).
On the season, Vee has hit 11 of 17 Three point attempts for 64.7%! Also, 11 of 18 2 p.t attempts.
And... 4 of 4 FTs.
He always looks calm and confident on the court too. Next year, Vee is going to be a major contributor.

Vee was certainly a little shaky on D yesterday, but the 'Nova guards can do that to you. His confidence to knock in a beautiful 3-pointer in limited playing time is just a sniff of what we will see from Vee next year when there is more time available.

when are we going to see significant minutes for Vee? When he earns it. You do realize that we can only put five players on the court at once.

Free Vee. The dude has more swag than anyone on this team and is instant offense. He needs more minutes.

Vee is fortunate his three went in. He needed that to soften the efects of the rest of his play.

Yeah he wasnt perfect but no player would be. The fact that he can come in, not be afraid of the pressure of a Nova/Hoyas game on the road and contribute is amazing.

Seems like Vee was either injured or going thru something because he was a bit unfocused defensively. But that was a big 3 at the end of the half. i was wondering who was going to start next year if he doesn't. Can he really be a good junior coming off the bench? guess so. x koolaidlovers.info
