Skiles had a better college career than Burson but I agree Burson had the quickness to play in the NBA, and he was a deadly shooter. The media would have loved him too, cause he was the scrappy white guy. He was one of my favorite players growing up. I think he woulda had a Mark Price like career...but I hate comparing him to Price cause he was way quicker than him.

Why is anyone talking about Tyler Lewis? He'd be terrible in our system. We don't need a pass first / shooting-and-defense-questionable PG when the offense is going to run through Otto at the top of the key. He's clearly a superlative passer, but the Georgetown offense is more geared around players that are strong generalists and can succeed in every facet of the offensive game - shooting, passing, cutting, finishing - rather than a guy who is clearly excellent at one facet and questionable at a lot of the others.
D'Vauntes, at least what I've seen on YouTube, would be perfect. He can shoot 3's, he can penetrate, he can shoot a legitimate midrange shot (which I'm very excited by), and he can find an open big man or cutter. With Otto at the key, I don't know how a defense is going to stay glued to a guy in the post if D'Vauntes gets the ball on the wing, penetrates a couple of steps and pulls up - Otto or one of the bigs will be open.

Having seen DSR play AAU ball, I agree with everything TC and idhoya just said. Plus, he's a team leader and a good defender. And he makes free throws when it counts!! In short, I think he's the whole package!

I think DSR should be ranked higher than 52 on ESPN, rivals has him better than Marcus Paige

Could his injury be linked to his drop in the rankings? That may explain some anyways.

Excited to get DSR on the Hilltop and see how he fits in with the team. Could give us some scoring we will need next year and beyond.

1. Does anyone know how DSR is doing with his knee rehab?
2. I also want to see DSR's thread up at the top of our recruiting board because I am delighted he's coming.

He must improve his court vision and will need to change his approach to offense. Bullying your way to the basket in the Big East will only go so far. (what is it with these number 4's that think they can just act like a wrecking ball and get it in over bigs in the middle? . That being said, he could do very well in our offense.
